Deleting Game Cache

Hey, I wanted to ask if anybody deleting the game cache will mess up the game? 

As in, will it affect at graphics, editor files, etc??

Why do you want to delete it? What are you trying to achieve by it?

No it won't but you will lose all your settings and preferences 

Back up the appdata file first though

I was more curious about it as read in a few places that it can help with performance… 

In the immediate short term, it might.

But all it does is reset your preferences and other settings. You'll change them to what you want them to need very shortly afterwards anyways. If you have any custom graphics, it'll pick them up anyway after you load FM again.

In real practical terms, there is hardly any benefit to deleting the cache. It's only really needed if your preferences become corrupt or if they need resetting due to technical issues.

Basically what I'm saying is that you most probably don't need to delete your cache.
