In some cases, the details in the FM database have been input wrongly, duplicated or not been input at all - and this results in some kits either not displaying or the text colour looking different to the kit.
One way of solving this is the use of a kits colour changes file, which ONLY works when applied BEFORE starting a new game.
Instructions below on how to install this file BEFORE starting a new game:
- Go to Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 20XX \ editor data \ put in all .fmf here!
- Delete all previous instances of this file or others named similarly.
- Put this file in there and start a new game. Voilà, problems sorted

Things this file will fix include:
1) fixing national or leagues teams kits in instances where they don't appear, like for example West Ham / Burnley
Wrong Colour Bar...
No third kits for Burnley...OR if they have the third kit, will fix the colour bar...
Will fix if default third kit as well.
2) removing kits from the database which are not in the SS kit packs, like for example this team
3) assigning the correct kit colours and/or styles in the instances where the FM database and the kit packs don't correspond

Do I just extract files to editor data same way I would extract kits to graphics? Tried this twice (starting a new game too) and can't get it to work despite everything else being fine

You need to extract the downloaded file. Then you get a folder with FMF files inside. Those FMF files have to be directly inside the editor data folder, without a folder in between.

I have downloaded the file and did everything you mentioned in the instructions, but I dont get the kits in game. Im using steam and im not that good with this stuff, can you please help with an instruction for me?

I’ve a problem with the team colour for Juve is this caused by the kit or a file relating to the data?

Fantastic work as always hammer. For Celtic, it looks like the foreground colour for the third kit is one of the green colours. This then means that there is very little difference at all between home and third and how the game allocates (it basically doesn't allocate the third at all with this setup). Would it maybe be worth making the foreground pink, as the amount of pink and green on the actual kit is very similar. If Pink, it might trigger use of the kit, as at the moment it seems to ignore the third kit as it is essentially the same setup as the home kit. Thanks for considering.

Funny enough, that's exactly what I did in my own game, it makes the default kit have pink pinstripes but with a kit pack installed this makes no difference.
IRL problem too and Celtic had to wear the 20/21 black kit at Hibs earlier this season.

England L7-8 is mine after I always fixed make sure all goods from ENG_kits_colours_21-22_levels7-8_FM22.fmf.
Lithuania in there (Lithuania 21-22 241121.fmf)
Sweden that I made for only SS kits - https://sortitoutsi.net/content/58274/sweden-allsvenskan-ss2021-new-260521-not-sskcc-yet so ill add 3d .fmf…see if any good with SS kits if not, ill fix it on FM22. 🙂

England - ok nice, I was not sure because the ENG_kits_colours_21-22_levels7-8_FM22.fmf is the latest one according to the modification date
Lithuania - my bad, sorry…I was always just looking for the FM 2022 kit packs and not the FM 2021 ones too

yeah some not correct colour so i fixed every teams, also the same england packs link as bolids as always 🙂

hammer, thanks for updating Celtic. For Scottish SPL, the following teams in game appear to have third kits, but in real life they only have home and away kits this season. It means if using an accurate pack, the third kits are just generated in game. The clubs in question are: Aberdeen, St. Johnstone, Motherwell, Livingston, Dundee, Dundee United, Ross County, St. Mirren. Some kit pack creators just used last season's away or third kits for those clubs, but they do not have a third kit at all this year. This can be confirmed on all of their official websites. Thanks.

Is there anyway you can keep the naming the same when you update, I ended up with mutliple of the same because the number behind it changed.
Also in the new update I noticed FM22 - Sweden - Allsvenskan 2021 - Kit Colours and FUSION DB - Campionato Sammarinese have gone missing they were in the previous version but not in the new one. A little more info on that please ?

i just replace the new San Marino 21-22 111221 on FUSION DB - Campionato because we some not correct colour, third missing etc etc, I'm always checking them all.
so I'm working on Sweden for FM22

When there is a new update, just open the old and the new folder and check which have changed by date. If there is a new file, delete the old one and put in the new one.
That's how I manage it.
