SI are an odd bunch, the game is nothing without the mods

why cant they embrace the community of creative minds that makes their base game better

wonder how FM Scout are still selling it, they promote mods also?

Yes, it's unfortunate because as you say, FM would not be anywhere near as immersive without third party content but I kind of understand the stance from Si. If they're seen to be turning a blind eye to community licensing alterations, then no doubt those licenses will be under threat or withdrawn. 

Does that mean that you can recontinue hosting the ad board patch or was that a full on cease and desist situation?

As much as I do enjoy a good Miles bashing, I can't help but think this is due to the football clubs/players kicking up a stink about their images being used in-game regarding mods.

I wonder why Shopto aren't selling copies of Football Manager 2023 this year, cause last year i can remember pre-ordering Football Manager 2022 for £25.85 off their website when the game came out officially for pre-order.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence in the past year before this came about that they’ve told Twitch partners to remove in-game mods aswell.

Shopto are selling Football Manager 2023 for £30.85 but im not sure if the game is a digital pre order or disk pre order but this site is the cheapest ive seen sell Football Manager 2023

Yep, bought it from there last year as well and I think they sent the code within a couple of minutes.

For a game company it makes total sense. Also not supporting modding communities makes sense. I mean with the big opportunities FM has I don't understand why they do not acquire licenses for smaller leagues, like Spanish amateur leagues, African leagues, Asia, smaller European ones. Modding is mostly involved around cutouts and kits as well as name fixes obviously. It's a bit odd that FM Scout as an example also has a name fix file.

But I hope they will continue to allow it within their platform setup. Like they have the editor to add more detail and licenses (adding playable leagues) as well as the graphics folder with config files. They could extend further by for example creating a minikit creator like you often see in racing games or Flight Simulator (thumbnails basically). I bet even people who work at SI play with our files 🙂

It does say this for CDKeys, that would mean you receive the code on the 8th of November and don't have an opportunity to play the beta?

Did someone try ShopTo already? Did they get the key immediatly?

 @BramNUFC  How is it misinformation? when i literally pre-ordered the game from shopto the other day to only find out i receive the the box version with the digital code inside and when you go to buy the game it literally says shipping options so obviously its the boxed version of the game. once i ordered the game it didnt give me a key code to put it in my steam. I spoke to shopto chat on messenger they basically said they aren't sure they will get beta codes despite being on the list of participating retailers. The code will come in the box on 8th November to which i got a refund cause i wanted to play the beta. So i don't appreciate you accusing me of posting misinformation when i clearly ordered the game off shopto thanks. Oh and by the way if you scroll down to the bottom of the page it says (Pack contains a unique code) ‘’PACK CONTAINS''

so did i but this year i didn't get a key code sent to my shopto account after i purchased the game thats why i got a refund and ordered the game off fanatical instead

@BramNUFC Still waiting for your response on how you don't appreciate my post about this so called misinformation about shopto selling Football Manager 2023, by looks of the post if anyone's posting misinformation its you saying ‘’its the digital copy'' and ‘’Yep, bought it from there last year as well and I think they sent the code within a couple of minutes.'' You clearly didn't read the information at the bottom of shoptos page of Football Manager 2023 about the product and went off with what they did with last years game. Then to accuse me of misinformation for making people aware not to pre ordered off shopto if they're wanting to play Football Manager 2023 beta as you wont get access to the beta via their website. Like i said a few days ago i pre ordered the game a few days ago to find out they wont be getting codes to which i got a refund because i wouldn't be getting the code for the beta of Football Manager 2023.
