they own the ads as much as we do, they are just using them as sponsorship revenue, they don’t have IPR over the individual ads

It's alright, we can agree to disagre. I want to get this working since they have a whole xml, blocking ads from being created for most unlicenced leagues btw. I am trying to reverse it, im just not a whizz with xml editing just yet.

You are getting Lyon because you are using the Clubs xml file. Inside the ‘ads’ folder there are two folders, one called Clubs and one No Clubs. If you use the fm.xml file from no clubs it will work. You need to swap between the two game to game e.g. domestic games use clubs, european use no clubs. Black boards is probably because your static boards folder is in the wrong place. It should be in graphics/pictures. If you only copied the video ads over from FM21 then you need to copy the static ads there too.

Thanks for the help with the clubs and no clubs file really appreciate it but the black boards are in a file called ads and located under graphics/pictures, is there something else I need to do, like maybe something with a config file? Im not sure as they still work on FM21

Happy New Year all! I don't understand what the new situation is - can someone fill me in? I think I still have the adboards download for FM19 but nothing since. Can someone just privately send me an updated one? I skipped a bit in between but am going to get stuck in again now.

Is there anyway to use the clubs fm.xml but have the games ads play for cups and euro comps?

no, you have to switch the configs between games

I feel your pain, I mistakenly deleted what I had for FM21 (version 1.4), which included the majority of static and video boards I wanted to use. Thought I had a backup and the backup was the last FM22 version which was a work in progress before the plug was pulled. It seems Rab had taken everything out at the end of FM21 and started to remake for FM22, which meant various ads that had been in FM21 1.4 weren't yet populated in the FM22 version.

Hm… this isn't something that needs a new save to work, right? So I don't need to wait until I can find someone with the files to privately send to me before beginning a new save, I can just pop it in further down the line?
