Hi all.
I noticed when I was editing some managers to change their preferred tactics that only 11 tactics are available, compared to over 20 tactics in FM22. Regular tactics like 4-2-3-1 Wide are not available, only 4-2-3-1 DM AM Wide.
Why did SI change this? This doesn't make any sense and needs to be resolved.

It was an intentional decision by SI. They changed it to “more accurately reflect” real life and how managers used double-pivot formations. An example that SI used was that before, AI managers were using more-attacking midfielders such as Mason Mount in the double pivot which you wouldn't see in real life (he might play there in a 4-3-3, but not in a 4-2-3-1).

Such a shame.
