As far as I'm aware, no, it isn't possible. You'll have to look for sources from other websites as 99% of the time PL sources aren't large enough for 250px cutouts.

I'm not quite sure that is the right topic to ask, but has anyone been able to download pictures from the Sorare website recently? It seems like you cannot access the full sized ones anymore, maybe following an update on their website.

It's still possible, just maybe more complicated than before.
On a player's profile page, open Inspect Element/DevTools, then on the “Application” tab, scroll down until you see a subfolder called “Images” on the left side. Then in that subfolder, scroll all the way down to a file beginning with “squared-” then a bunch of numbers, which is the full-size image:

I came across this website. It replaces URL strings to get larger images, just like this thread is doing. I don't know how comprehensive it is nor if it covers the websites that are used here, but nevertheless a good resource.
There's a firefox extension as well.

Hi guys,
there was years ago a hack to change the url on the uefa.com website. The player pictures are in general 324x324 and it was possible to make them bigger changing the size. I dont remember anymore which size it was. I try for half an hour now and cant fix it. I think it was something 600x400 or similar. But the hack for the sorare thing is also awesome 👍

make sure you keep “cropandgreyscale”. Then just change "?preset=square" to “?anchorpoint=top”
