English Leagues - Players History only recorded Leagues history?

Since I started playing FM like 2 decades ago, am I right that for players' history at least in English Leagues, only leagues data are stored? Or is there any hidden option to see players competitive cups history?

Example, when I played Liverpool as my team, Jota played mainly in cups and he ended up only scoring 1 goal in EPL but he ended up as top scorer for Champions League though this seems not shown once the new season started. His history only then record his single goal in EPL. Just wonder any chance to have a history record for English Leagues, one for Competitive Cups and a total combined history?

On the history page, click the row for that season and you'll see all the statistics for all the competitions. The main page will only ever display the league stats, however.
