We all know your tricks - say something with the intended purpose of riling someone up, get called out, play the "differing opinion" card and result to petty insults. It's nothing new and it's as sad an act as it's always been.
Petrov's retired in incredibly sad circumstances and people are commenting on what a shame it is considering the influence he had at Celtic and Aston Villa. No one's claiming he one of the best, and you know that - you only made that comment to provoke a reaction, not contribute intelligently to a debate.

I cannot believe people are saying he should not be in a HoF. He beat fucking leukemia - if that isn't a reason I dunno what is. "There is Stan Petrov, former captain and he beat a form of cancer" how many people can say that?
He played with Aston Villa with distinction, made a lot of appearances, was well regarded by the fans and in the Premiership in general. He might not have become the Stoichkov-lite he was supposed to, but he was a fine player and captain of his country. I don't even think his ability as a player should be brought into this debate - at a moment like this, is his ability really relevant?
Agree KM is being insensitive and trying to do an Adrian Durham, but he does have sympathy for the situation and that's all you can ask for from a decent person. May not have rated Stan but rates him as a person.
