Missing/wrong stadiums

Howdy, im currently on a mission to help you with the stadium images, but I have no idea how to proceed if I run into a club that has literally no stadium assigned in game. F.e. Povltavsko in czech 3rd division. Their stadium is “Fotbalový stadion Štěchovice” as seen here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FK_TJ_%C5%A0t%C4%9Bchovice.

Is this something you guys also correct in data updates or should I just skip instances like this one? On a similar note, if there is an old or wrong name of some stadiums, should I leave that in comment with correct information when adding background images or should I not bother?

Thanks for your contributions to the stadiums packs 👍 but suggesting name changes in the submissions system for the stadiums pack is a waste of time because we do only add pictures and do not offer change of any thing else, and you can also just skip stadiums that are not in the default database. As what goes for the database update changes I can't answer for that 👍🙂

It might be a little bit of work, but have you considered creating your own data pack for Czechia containing the missing stadium information. Stadiums are some of the easier (and less time consuming) things to create within the game and I am sure other Czech players, or anyone managing in the lower leagues of Czechia would be grateful for your efforts.

Sure I'll look about and see what I can find. How basic do you need it to be? What level of understanding do you have of the pre-game editor, modding the game and things like that?

Ok well two of the most useful tools I've found online are

My only real advice when creating stadiums is open Google Earth just so you can see the overlay of the city. This is useful because there's a field that asks you what the closest stadium to the stadium you're creating is.

Config files can be relatively easy to produce. If you look at one of the stadium packs on here, just adjust accordingly. The way I have my graphics folder set up for the stuff I create is I have everything relevant to the team I create in one folder as opposed to having to route through multiple folders for one club

I create my own teams so knowing about a lot of the naming conventions used around the world really puts things into context. It also means that some of the names from other countries that sound a little silly, can turn out to not be that silly at all.

Finally my only other reccommendation would be to check the Steam Library and the various FM download sites (FMScout, FM Insider etc.) to see if anyone has done an in-depth version of the Czechia football league system. That may also save you a good amount of work.
