why Sam signing his fucking contract, rather wait till end of the season and new manager!

How any West Ham fan can be unhappy with Big Sam is beyond me.

I can see why the board would be very unhappy. As although he's got them up and kept them up, he hasn't exactly done it very efficiently. Still needed the play offs. Most of the signings he made are mostly older and geared towards the short term, and a lot of his signings seem to have completely disappeared - like Sam Baldock and Nicky Maynard. - And still needed the play-offs.

And this year he seems to have brought in a lot of pointless, but expensive signings, Joe Cole, Chamahk, Benayoun, Diarra, Maiga. Arguably he's squandered a lot of money on getting building a very mediocre side.

A mediocre side that's still going to be playing Premier League football next year and that's all that matters.

Yep, risking the long-term future of the club on a few years of mediocrity.

Although it looks like Gold and Sullivan are just building up debt and plan to pay it off when they sell the stadium.

The long term future for West Ham United is staying in the Premier League over the next 5 to 10 years.

I went to the game at QPR and I don't think I've seen more venom by a team towards their own players than that shown by R's fans to Jose Bosingwa.

Their team looked in almost as big a mess as well, not least given Bosingwa gifted two goals to the Toon Army. But nevermind - we got the win and now we are staying up. Can't say fairer than that.

Was the Bosingwa abuse because of his smile after the Reading game or did he look like he wasn't putting in any effort today?

I think he's just generally hated. There's that incident, a perceived lack of effort and Redknapp's slated him loads.

And he cost them 2 goals today.

Jonas Guttierez and Mike Williamson were both superb today, glad they've been shite all season and saved it all for the most important game.

Ex-Chelsea player, earns stupid cash, looks like he can't be arsed half the time, refused to sit on the bench, cost them 2 goals in an excessively stupid fashion, the Reading smile... take your pick. QPR looked hideously disjointed overall anyway - probably just as well they had no plans for what would've been the most pointless players appreciation lap in history.

As for us, we're safe. I was shitting it when I heard Willo had displaced Taylor in the back 4 (apparently Tayls was ill) but we defended very well overall and we were clinical with our attacks. Hopefully we can sign off in style against the Gunners, even despite Pardew's comments.

I was suprised Pardew came out and said that, pretty silly really, especially given all the flack he's taken recently. But it seems pretty obvious he didn't mean that we won't be bothering next week - just that we're safe now and that's the big goal accomplished and the Arsenal result is more or less meaningless (which it is tbf).

It was a decent performance yesterday, and it was nice to see us not sit back and defend after getting into a good position. Hopefully we can get Cisse staying onside by next season, he must be up to 5-10 offside goals this season.

Liverpool fans. *facepalm*

Ha ha, your new manager has only outperformed our club with considerably less resources.

Are we really surprised by what Pardew says and does anymore? Oh well only seven more years. Unless he loses all the first 10 games of next season.

Talking of Cisse he was playing left wing for the second half yesterday and he really didn't look comfortable there. Surely people should know he's not a winger, and I think the team did too given most of our attacks came down our right hand side in the second half. Defensively though it was a good performance against a side who did pose some danger despite their relegation meaning they didn't give a fuck. Hopefully against Arsenal we won't just roll over as that would be a depressing end to the season.

Was purely tongue in cheek, but yeah, I would take a FA cup, two league cups, a Champions league and a UEFA super cup over finishing above our rivals for a few seasons.

And the team with the lowest wage bill in the league just beat the team with the highest in the FA cup. I think Moyes is a good manager, he's done very well in the league with the resources he's had, but he's failed in cup competitions.

No shit.

That's like a Barca fan saying they would rather be in their position than Espanyol's. It's hardly comparable,

He said Moyes had out performed Liverpool. I was merely saying that I'd take cup wins over finishing above us in the league.

Well it's better than anything you've achieved this season. Mocking the fact that he's done better is rather odd, even for Liverpool fans.
