Looks like you were misinformed. Sam Donkin in transfermarkt has a different birthday than he does in the original database game
Sam Donkin has been transferred to 
Leiston. Sam Donkin now has a role as Player.Sam Donkin now has a contract until 30th June 2025 starting on 25th November 2019.
Weirdly, Soccerway has a different year to transfermarkt (1997). After checking Leiston's Twitter, they posted a happy birthday tweet on the 7th August for the day before, making his birthday the 6th of August instead.
