I agree, need another DM, Gardiner is injury probed at the best of times at Dow although a capable replacement is prone to the odd error. I forgot to add the other two guys I signed last night. Brought in the 36 year old Ben Foster to bring some experience to the mix and also the Chinese fella. Looking back I didn't want to spend anymore on my turn because Spanky and whoever might well find guys in Defence and now a DM that will would better us. I was keen to keep hold of Morrison but at they wanted over £4.5m and I think despite his good season with us, he's on a downward spiral.

I mix between two DMs and one, depending on how adventurous I feel. If we can just finish next season in the same area (preferably higher) and have a couple of cup runs then I am sure we will have more money without being in real debt. Still have the smallest stadium in the prem with a 12.5k seater stadium.

Splurged on this bloke, they wanted 2.5m for him I managed to get him for 1.8m. Negotiations were fierce, I started the bid at 100k lol. I feel he is going to be a long term superstar for us in that DM role.

On the lookout for a backup right back but think my spending is done for now.

Don't you think we should find a starting RB? Bennett didn't impress, neither did Neville and the Icelandic guy is still young. And with money to spend maybe we should splash some on a solid Premier League class RB (if there are any who wants to join us...)?

I never used Bennet at right back anyway. This should ease your concerns though.....


Only a loan but not playing at Anji so if he performs well we might be able to nick him.

I'll have a look at available right backs but really wanna hold off on spending just because we have it there.

Fairly good pre season. Blackburn up first in the league, winnable game that.

Credible draw in an even game. Keeper saved a one on one in injury time that would have given us a win but oh well.

Sooooooo close to an upset. Tottenham just had too much possession and eventually scored.

Somehow Exeter were tipped to win this game anyways would have liked more goals as we completely dominated but did the job and onto the next round.

Just done a quick breeze through the first team squad, 31 players in total. 4 have been with us since Blue Square Prem, 1 since League 2 and 3 since League 1.

That is an incredible amount of players that still get a run in our side that are playing premier league football now, Wonder how many other lower league games out there have this sort of result. Also can't forget the amount we have released or sold since getting to the championship which is still an amazing effort to play that far from Blue Square.
