Nah I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

But I am getting sick of the Theon storyline. Not even given a hint as to what the fuck's going on.

Only thing that's starting to bore me is the whole Theon being tortured shite. Honestly feels like it's just there to be there and that nothing of value will happen in that storyline this season.

Yeah but there's that where there's fuck all going on, Robb and Arya where there's fuck all going on. Bran where he's taken about 400 years to do a trip Jon did in days.

And even in the arcs where stuff is happening, Lanasters/Tyrells/Sansa, Jon Snow, Daenerys. They appear to be making infinitesimal leaps. At the minute you could have gone from the end of Series 2 to now and would only really have missed Jaime's hand and the Sansa/Tyrion thing.

They seem to be dragging it out so everything happens right in the last episode of the season or something, very infuriating. Having read the books I know there should be better to come, I'm just starting to dislike the way they're going about it in the tv series now.

Hello Mr. Apt Username.

This is the art of telling a story. It is superb the way they are doing it. I am sorry they are not stimulating your stupid gene and appealing to your knuckle dragging ways by showing explosions and having even more sex in the show but if you like then I am sure you can find many DVDs for around £3 to stimulate that poor simple mind of yours.

Yours,

A person with a higher IQ.

Apparently some people are more hurt by the death of the direwolf.

Yes, because plenty of morons put more value to the lives of cute, furry things than that of human beings.

No, it's because the inherent cruelty of killing an animal during a human conflict. It has no say, no guiding hand in the rift between the two families, so the act of destroying it is pure evil. People aren't saying the dog's life is worth more, they're saying that the image of a dead dog during the most brutal scene in the saga's history is the icing that cements such a brutal piece of villainy.

But sure, roll your eyes and claim white people, as though you're not the whitest person on this forum.

It's not a dog, it's not the cuddly family golden retriever, it's a large, vicious predator that was only half-tame. What else were they supposed to do? Let it out of its cage so that it could tear their throats out? Remember the earlier scene in the episode where Bran and Rickon's "dogs" do that very thing to the wildlings? It's the GoT version of police putting down a drug baron's pet lion.

Is it a shocking image? Sure, but more shocking than a man's wife and her unborn child being killed in front of her husband and a woman's son being killed in front of his mother?

And no, with the people I am referring to, they most definitely had the reaction they did because it's a cute, furry thing being killed, not because of the dramatic narrative you are trying to create for it.

Remember what show you're watching. Humans getting killed off is basically a fundamental of the show. It wouldn't work at all without it. Where as obviously with animals, it's easier to get attached.

But yeah, that episode was incredibly bleak, the sense of doom throughout was pretty thick. It felt more like a Sopranos or Breaking Bad episode at times.

Anyway I really don't get the point of Dany. Her whole thing was basically focused on her being innocent and kind, yet she has now sacked two cities in her quest for power and wants the Iron Throne just as much as Viserys did. She's proved Robert Boratheon was right.

Danearys seems to be using 1950's US tactics though. Threatening the world with nuclear weapons. To spread her vision of how the world should be.

And she set her the slaves free by using a slave army.

I don't think the Unsullied can be set free though. I don't think they understand the concept. And their lives haven't exactly changed. They still seem to serve a leader as soldiers and Missandei still seems to do nothing but bring people drinks.

Not really. They killed all the traders right? So she said you can stay with me or go and do whatever you want. What she basically said was "stay with me and kill folk or die alone in the desert". The Unsullied aren't exactly human anyway. She has an army of monsters.
She's a whiney whore who would be dead if it weren't for (a) her brother, (b) Drogo and (c) the dragon eggs she accidentally hatched. Shola is right, she's been given a nuke and she's having it around so she can get her own way. She's a shit leader, without honour and boring character.

Unlike Renly. Never forget.

No great cliffhanger, but a good episode I thought for the finale.

The small council meeting was class.
