I wanted to do a playthrough starting in 2025 (any date) to use the most up to date data. I never understood playing older years/competitions with today's squads and transfers, feels weird to me. But I guess this is the drawback of wanting to play in South America (Argentina).

I now found the following “No Date Changes" Data Update, so I guess I'd need to use this - however judging from the number of .fmf files it includes apparently would be missing a lot of updates compared to Classic FM's? Also does not have the Dynamic capabilities? 😢

Is there anything the Classic FM team would be able to do to cater for those who want to play up-to-date squads/transfers in current year? I'd be willing to pay for this suscription, given that I originally thought I'd be able to play this way using Classic FM.

Yes, it's not ideal… but it's the easiest and simplest way to play with the latest database. When loading up a graphic add-on proves to be a challenge to some people, a simple data update is the safest and less technical… just less hassle this way.

The date factor… isn't that a big deal, actually. I think many people like counting no. of season (i.e. 1st season, 2nd season,…) instead of which year anyway.

There are two Juma Ba defenders, one at RC Lens and the other at Manchester City, and in fact it's the same player.

@hypervelocity yes sorry the editor does just have its limitations. Alot of hours have gone into moving all the continental competitions but it's still not working right and if you don't get them all perfect it messes up (e.g. if you manage to move the club world cup but not the national world cup, they'll wind up playing the same time).

We don't bother trying to change the game to 2024 because you can't make the playoffs works so all the wrong teams get promoted and relegated, which you've probably seen yourself.

Improvements to allow the new wonderkids to be added to the no date file is in the works and hopefully you should see something this week, dynamic updates off the top of my head i'm forgetting why they're not in the no date file I need to double check that.

Are you using other files? Usually if you hover over it gives some sort of error or there will be two files both marked with a red exclamation.

Hey @AntonioVib  I refreshed this for you.

If anyone faces the same issue you can always visit ⚙️ > Shop Orders then you should see a button saying “refresh”. This tends to fix it.

It was a conflicting file I was using, but it was just a 24/25 Poland 3D kit colour fix, but I guess I will just have to not use that file.

@Gee_Simpson can you tell me exactly where this file came from? It would be better to incorporate these types of files into our update if possible 🙂

Can't 100% remember, I think it was from a Polish 3D kit file on this site.

Hello, I purchased the update but I'm very disappointed to see that the foreign limit rule in Turkish league is not updated. Can you fix this?

Footygamer

@GorkemSahin  I'm afraid I forget exactly what we did with the foreign limit rule in Turkey, I remember there have been quite alot of discussions about it in the past such as here

If you check @sirEmresto's file here you can see he made one with a few different variations.

I thought we included this one in the update

Gradual Foreign Player Rule: The number of foreign players gradually decreases over the years, similar to real-life regulations

But it seems like you're saying we haven't.

Can you please try and give more detail? I know that's annoying but please be considerate of the fact that not everyone follows the Turkish league closely so you probably have more insight that me and can help jog my memory or guide me to the right solution. It's possible the wrong file is in the update right now and it just needs switching to one of the other of sirEmresto's files.

Thank you for the quick reply!

I checked it in the game once again. Seems like you have indeed made some change, 11 foreigners can play on the pitch at the same time now. However starting from the next season number of foreigners that can be registered go down from 14 to 12 in the game. This is incorrect.

The actual, correct foreign players rule are as follows:

  • A Turkish club can register at most 14 foreigners for the league and domestic cup.
  • At most 12 foreigners can be in the match squad.

Next year the rules will change as follows:
  • A Turkish club can register at most 14 foreigners. There are no age restrictions for the first 12 players but the other 2 need to be born after 01.01.2003.

    Following year
  • 14 foreigners, no age restrictions for the first 10 players but the other 4 need to be born after 01.01.2004.

It starts in 2023 like normal, all dates (dob, contracts etc) within the game are adjusted to accomodate that

Not sure if this is automatically assigned. If it is, you should just be able to go to https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update and it should show you that you have access to the Classic FM update.

if it doesn’t, I would assume the site admins manage it manually and it’ll need them to reflect the change.

Worst-case, I’d expect us to be able to get it reflected following the weekend. As an aside, thanks for your efforts in contributing to the update - it is really appreciated!

Everything that you see on the site that has been approved gets integrated into the overall Data Update. There is a new release of the Data Update once per day. Please note it does require manual action from the staff team to re-process, so there is no complete guarantee that it happens at the same time every day.

There is usually a small lead-time between a community member (such as yourself) submitting a change and that change being approved by a moderator. We do try to keep up with them as best we can, but invariably sometimes a proposed change can be pending for a day or two before it is approved/rejected. However, as soon as any change is approved by a moderator (whether there's a transfer, contract change, new player creation of PA/CA adjustment), that approved change will appear in the next Data Update that is processed.

The easiest way to think about it - as a guide in plain English - is that within 24-48 hours of changes being approved, the Data Update you download will reflect those changes.

Status “Approved” doesn't integrate daily changes for players that already existed in the FM24 database. I assume those changes will go through only when the “Non Dynamic Data” file is updated next time.

Yep CA/PA changes are generally only updated once a month at the moment.

Planning on letting you download your personal changes instantly if you'd like and still working on trying to create dbc/fmf files automatically which will solve alot of these headaches.

Is there a timeframe yet for a new 2025-26 start? So with +2 years age and contract and next season's Euorpean qualifications/promotions/relegations etc.
