No fm25 ? No problem !
There's my save game from fm24, I tried to recreate the 23/24 and 24/25 seasons as best as possible.
There are still some minor issues but it's worth it.
The game starts on February 22, 2025 (image below).
The transfer window for winter 2025 was done based on data from transfermarket.com as of February 11 at 12 a.m.
So, Neymar >>>>Santos
Marmoush >>>> Man City
Jhon Duran >>>> Al Nassr and all major transfers and coaching changes are done (see images below).
All the European championship rankings are same as reality on February 10th 2025.
So you can have some interesting challenge by playing my save, like bring back
-Nottingham Forest to Champions League (they are 3rd in the Premier League)
-Save Valencia, giant of Spanish football from relegation (they are 16th and in danger in the league)
-Win a first Champions League with PSG and its talented young people like Doué, Barcola, Neves and Kvara. and many other challenges that you can discover in my save like Paris FC, or Leeds with RedBull financial power etc.
Player performances have been updated based on reality performances, so
-Lamine Yamal is (CA: 170 PA: 200),
-Raphinha (CA: 178 PA: 180),
-Cole Palmer (CA: 170 PA:188)
-Mohamed Salah (CA: 189 PA:190) And many others player ratings adjustments.
For those who know me I have already proposed a save for fm 23 last year.
NB: this is a save not a database file, I created everything for myself every day, there is no database file, just this save that you can duplicate to continue playing if you like it.
There are some minor issues like some team in some championship are not the same ones that were promoted, otherwise everything is ok.

How to install?
Download the file " Football manager 25 February start date" and put it to your Documents/ Sports Interactive/ Football manager 24/ Game. And then launch FM 24, and load the save "Football manager 25 February start date" Enjoy!

You have to open this file from the game's main menu. The file must be in your [user]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\games folder.

The file is a .fm file that I am not familiar with and when I try to load it into the game it doesnt work.

.fm is not an archive file. It's just inconvenient to share an archive file using a rarely-used or relatively unknown file format, isn't it? It only causes troubles for everyone, including the creator. There's why most archive files online are in .zip format.
Anyway, the answer is right there in the title “Football Manager 24/25 Save”, as well as the beginning of the description “There's my save game from fm24…”, and then later in the note “NB: this is a save not a database file”.
That's why I asked if you actually know what you've downloaded… All you need to do is just place the .fm file into the folder, and load up the save game like resuming your own game. Again, as said, please refer to the section “How to install?” for detail.
OK, I happened to try the .fm file minutes ago, and it worked without any problem (nobody here reports any errors anyway). So, I advise you to read the description post from top to bottom, there you know what file it's, all the important information, and last but not least, the instructions to install. It's a good habit to read first, which saves you a lot of time and avoids all these hassles.
We all know that issues can occur in FM for some strange reasons. So, if you do fail to load the file after following every installation step, please show the error message (if any), or some screenshots.

Hi, nice work mate. Excluding errors such as Quenda's transfer to Manchester United. Have you used editor files that change the match engine? The matches look more realistic and hard. Maybe it's just my impression.

Graphics stuff are basically images, which are kind of universal for years. On the other hand, skins are related to the UI, which may be changed across versions.
Anyway, assume that you've FM23 on your computer, just do an experiment: Download a file or two, and test if things work. Then, you've the answer in 15 minutes.
P.S. This is a discussion about a particular custom save game…
