Our beloved ass man Peter Shirtliff finally fucked off and we brought in former Shaker Ronnie Jepson as his replacement.

Good riddance. So, who wants to take on Shirty after his brilliant spell as caretaker down here and his amazing 0% win percentage?

Interesting... does this set a precedent?

We declined them in May Link

Its good of Bolton to realise it was a mistake and change there mind, especially as QuickQuid would've been offering a good pay packet

40-50 (!!!!!!!!!) trialists expected at our place for the upcoming pre-season, some players from Italy, Brazil and Argentinia included. Might consider going to all of our pre-season games, just for the LULZ

Your team sheet would be like 11 players named A. Trialist.

We've signed Jordan Wynter from Arsenal and Aden Flint from Swindon.

Quite happy with these transfers. Nice to get players on the up rather than journeymen on the slide.

We were apparently going into liquidation before we've now been taken over by the council. Not really too sure what it means but I've heard that our budget is now one of the lowest in the BSP so survival is our aim for next season. On the topic of a new manager, Robbie Fowler apparently turned us down and we appointed club legend John Askey and Efe Sodje as his assistant.

Very tinpot decision as they will both be on a tiny wage as will many of the players but at least they have the club at heart- unlike Steve King who was sacked for apparently not turning up to training on many occasions. He pretty much nearly drove the club out of business with the amounts of money he was spending.

Read that Lewin Nyatanga is considering contract offers from both us and 'Udders'

Would drive him to you, he's had a resurgence under SO'D, but I've never been sure of him.

We had a young winger on loan from you lot last season called Joe Bryan, he'll be class in league one for you lot, definitely on the up!

Wouldn't fancy him, to be quite honest. I'd look at young Wallace as a first-team prospect before bringing anyone new in at the back for now. That said, we're probably offloading Joel Lynch because the manager doesn't particularly like him, so we'd need a fourth centre-half.

Joe has actually played in our first team a few times, looked sharp at LB, not so much at LW (but League One will be better for him).

Got some good youth coming through.

We've just been recommended for a Category 2 status academy (the only one along with Crewe outside of the Prem and Champ (Wolves understandably have got Cat. 1 status). Interestingly Premier League Cardiff have only achieved Category 2, Southampton have closed their academy in Bath (although have been given Cat. 1) and Bristol Rovers have only achieved Cat. 3. Championship Yeovil have also scrapped their academy. Swansea failed in their bid for Cat. 2 (not sure what happens after that. Be fuming if we don't capitalise on this chance to get some of the best youngsters in the SW and S.E. Wales (that don't go to the big boys or Southampton).

A rumour which appears to have substance at last! Dale Jennings in line for a return to English football with Town, according to Sky Sports. May be bollocks, but it's the first whisperings for a while that we're doing something in the transfer market.

Apparently, he was shite for Bayerns ressies last season. Was injured a lot and couldn't score for his life hence he was left out of their squad for a couple of times.

However, Bayern's ressies got a new coach now and maybe he wants to see Jennings training a few times before making a decision so I guess Town will have to wait and see

Rumour said free transfer. But Nigel Clibbens has come out and said it isn't happening, so he looks like heading to Barnsley instead. Does this mean we finally have that Paterson deal sorted? Or does it mean that we're bringing in someone different? I'm not too worried, as it's been a slow summer right the way down the division, possibly because FFP has left a lot of clubs trying to bring in players for less than what the player and agent want to accept, at least at the moment. I think that come early August there will be a lot of unemployed footballers suddenly willing to play for a pay cut.

It seems strange that they would allow him to move on a free when he's under contract and they signed him as a prospect. I would not be surprised if it turned out to be just a loan. Still, Sky seem convinced that it's a transfer...

I also think it's pathetic that he's finding it hard to settle. He's got an opportunity few footballers will ever be afforded, training at one of the finest academies in the world and soon to be under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola. The fact he wants to trade that in for Oakwell, which is s dump, is mind boggling.

The Football League have confirmed the following 6 opening weekend fixtures to tie in with it's 125th year anniversary:
Championship
Burnley v Bolton Wanderers
Derby County v Blackburn Rovers

League 1
Preston North End v Wolves
Sheffield United v Notts County

League 2
Newport County v Accrington Stanley
Rochdale v Hartlepool United

These games apparently use either founder members or games of historical significance (i.e. Newport)

Tom Cadmore, who has played in each of United's six seasons has relocated to the south coast and as expected has left the Club to join newly promoted Whitehawk. In his 6 seasons at United Tom made 246 appearances (a Club record) and found the net 14 times. Tom was a talisman for United and could always be relied on in a crisis, on behalf of all at United I would like to wish Tom all the best with his new club and for the future, apart from two certain games in the coming season of course

Traitor. Great player though, could've easily played in a higher league (League One or League Two).

Captain Sam Cox is leaving as well I think. Prick. Can't blame him though, surrounded by shite.
