a) If they're what you're using, the 500x500 Premier League sources aren't the biggest, especially since they are for players which have essentially identical cuts already, mostly from very recently. Basically since they are 500x500 from the waist up, and once the face is cropped, they'll need to be upscaled to fit the 250x250 cut dimensions, thus inevitably losing sharpness.
b) for future reference, when you have a lot of images to upload, then you should upload them as a pack instead of individually and save the both of us some time.
You can also upload up to 50 images per pack instead of just a maximum of 3 when done individually.
