Please, take note in Latvia Valmiera is not playing in Virsliga, but at 3rd level, due on debts. Teams are the following: Auda, BFC Daugavpils, Grobinas, Metta, Liepaja, Jelgava (although previous relegation, recovered replacing Valmiera), RFS, Riga, Super Nova and Tukums.

As for your latest data updates, the transfers have been moved from 2025 to start the save in summer 2023.

The Swedish league and teams(prom/rele) are still the same as january 2023, which makes it a bit off.

Are there any plans on updating the Swedish league so you can start playing from 2023, with the “right” teams, like 2025?

Hello, just to inform the HNL players that HNK Šibenik has been relegated to the 4th rank of the HNL and has changed the club logo.

Hi, i may have missed the topic, but I would like to report an error in the database. In data update Partizan from Serbia, the European competition starts in the Europa League playoffs. And in reality it actually started from the first round.  I don't know about other countries and their representatives if there are similar experiences. Can this be fixed or is it necessary to download another update?

According to the U23 foreign player rule in the Turkish league, 23-year-old players are required to be included in that rule, but a 23-year-old player is not included in that rule. For example Archie Brown and Dorgeles Nene should be considered u-23 by rule. Can you fix this?

We haven't been able to accurately recreate the new champions league format so the number of teams is different. If you are aware of any other update that does this please let me know.

Edinburgh City in Scottish League Two have been penalized with -15 points. It hasn't been updated thus far in the Scotland League fmf file.

Hello, I want to tell you that in the Serbian SuperLeague there is a rule that there must be two u21 footballers on the field in the first lineup and during the entire game, while you think that only one u21 footballer is needed.

Can you fix this pls?

They forgot to mention Dorgeles Nene's features after he transferred to Fenerbahçe. It's barely written at all! We paid 22 million euros for him.

Hello, the foreign player rule for the Turkish league is not correct. Is it technically possible to update it to the current version?

https://www.tff.org/Resources/TFF/Auto/e580c59db48141a88e6fdaff05a1b4ed.PDF

(1) Clubs can have a maximum of 14 players in the A Team List who are not eligible to play for the Turkey A National Football Team (“foreign players”).
For 12 of the 14 foreign players that can be included in the A Team List, there are no age requirements. If all 14 foreign players are listed, then for the 2025–2026 season, at least 2 of them must have been born on or after 01.01.2003.

For the 2026–2027 season, at least 4 of the 14 foreign players must have been born on or after 01.01.2004.

Thank you

I am just curious - in terms of what you think is incorrect, how is it functionally in-game?

I am asking because when I was making the Turkey file, I was consulting the rules and these are the rules I attempted to build the rules against. Perhaps I have not implemented it correctly - but when I was testing, it was working for me (at least in terms of the best-fit possible to my understanding).

Specifically, for the first in-game season (which is 2023/24, but which represents 2025/26 in real-life), Turkish Super Lig teams should be allowed a total of 14 foreigners, a maximum of 12 of whom can be over 23 years old. Which essentially means that at least 2 of them must be under 23 years old. This was the closest estimation possible to the threshold of being born on or after 01-01-2023.

Similarly, for the secnod in-game season (which is 2024/25, but which represents 2026/27 in real-life), the rule is set up to change so that at least 4 of the 14 foreigners must be under 23 years old.

If how I have described it above is how you are experiencing that it is working in-game, I would say that this is the closest match possible to the real rules. I have selected 23 years old, in the rules, as the threshold because that is what the intention of the real-life rule is, I believe.

As much detailed feedback you can provide about what is functionally incorrect would be very useful - I am very happy to review the implementation and correct anything that can be corrected.

I am so sorry, the mistake is on me. After checking the birthday of some players now, I saw that you implemented it perfectly.

Have a 22 year old one in the squad which was born in December. It was just to late when I started the game yesterday.

No worries - I am glad that it turns out it is correct, after all, and that I did understand what I had researched correctly. Fun fact: for this nation, I had to get the official PDFs and run them through a translator to get to a point where I could see the official, written registration rules before building the file. Enjoy!

Please can you update the South African leagues in terms of promotion/ relegation for the 25/26 season, as well as team names. Siwelele FC bought SuperSport, also Durban City is now in the top league, they are the new Maritzburg United etc. Royal AM no longer exist. Orbit College also in top league. Cape Town City relegated. Also, the second division has many changes.

Also, the top league is now called the Betway Premiership and no longer Dstv. 2nd division is called the Motsepe Foundation Championship

Not sure if this is in the right thread or not but the update (player changes etc) needs a good look at. They're is a lot of players that need putting at the right clubs. this is just a small sample but Buonanotte is still on loan at Leicester. Barco is still at Brighton. Trevor Chalobah is on loan at Palace, Rak Sakyi is still on loan at Sheff Utd, Perri or Calvert-Lewin aren't at Leeds, Akanji is on loan at Inter when he shouldn't be, Michael Beale is still Sunderland manager, Carlos Soler is on loan at West Ham, Birmingham have no manager and Amario Cozier-Duberry is still on loan at Blackburn rather than Bolton and that's has far as i got with looking and id imagine they'll be plenty of other mishaps.

I fear you may have an issue with installation, or other files interfering/taking precedent, at your end. Spot-checking the first handful of your examples - none of those are the case in the Data Update.

I can see from both a check of the website data and the corresponding situation in-game that they are all updated as expected (specifically, I checked Buonanotte, Barco, Chalobah & Rak Sakyi). In case you're not aware, the Data Update is driven directly by community submissions and, essentially, all of these have been submitted and are in effect. A good way to consult the situation for any given player is to look them up by searching for their name via https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/contribute. This will show a page and indicate their current status in terms of club, transfer, contract etc. Anything approved is integrated into the Data Update on a daily basis and the two very reliably match.

Can you share screenshots of your ‘editor data’ folder and/or the list of enabled Editor Data files, from the in-game Database selection dialogue window, so we can try and troubleshoot what is happening for you?

there is still random regen chairman and wrong starting european competition for besiktas. It should be serdal adali as president and besiktas must be playing in europa league instead of conference league. gala and fener are starting correctly as competitions and chairmans.

also is there a way to start with league phase than group phase in europe first year? or the game blocks it even with the update?

As far as i'm aware nobody has found a way to create the new champions league and europa league yet. You would have to recreate it from scratch and it would be very, very difficult.

That also means that not all teams can go into their respective competitions because the number of teams in those competitions has changed.

That's what i imagined when i saw, i didn't see any recreations in other databases too, engine problems i assume.

the only thing that bothers me is no turkish team are eligible for europa league at the start, that's an interesting year to start for turkish league.

btw the real issue i asked, the chairman bug for besiktas can be changed right?

Anyone able to assist with this?

I've got it on my list. I am currently just finalising an update to Malaysia (nearly done) and I will turn my attention to South Africa next. I will need to take the existing, base file as my starting point and as I didn't personally make that, I am not sure exactly how far it is along.

It is worth noting that whilst I will - as part of updating that file - reflect name changes (team and competition), if you use the ‘Real Name Fix’, that will overwrite anything in the Data Update file.

Could you fix this?

So the change/extension to the rule is that concept around players bought/registered in one season being able to then be extra foreign players for the second season? Or that the players signed and registered in the first season are exempt from the age-restriction part of the rule in the second season? That is my reading of it, at least - I am not sure if it is the translation, but I can't really make clear sense of the rule from what you posted. In particular, this part:

"If foreign players born in 2002 who have signed contracts for more than one season and are included on the A Team List for the 2025-2026 season are signed with these players, they may be included on the A Team List for two seasons, subject to this rule.

In the 2026-2027 season, at least four of the 14 foreign players must have been born on or after January 1, 2003."

If so, I must admit - I do not think such a rule is possible to replicate in the Pre-Game Editor.
