FM24 Player and Staff Updates

Hi, there are some banned Turkish players that I want to inform you. Emirhan Delibaş and Berkay Vardar got banned due to doping until 18 December 2028 (4 years).

Tibet Öniz, Özkan Taştemur, Kutsal Manici, Furkan Eliaçık, Batuhan Kırdaroğlu, Cenk Doğan, Canberk Aydemir got banned until 2 September 2026 (1 year), Serhat Aslan and Savaş Yorulmaz got banned until 2 July 2026 (10 Months), and Yunus Emre Metin, Süleyman Enes Karakaş, Recep Efe Koçak, Ozan Can Oruç, Fatih Kızılkaya, Ekrem Çalışanlar, Berat Arda Kara, Ahmet Gökbayrak, Umutcan Keleşcan, Recep Taşbakır, Ömer Faruk Sezgin, Ekin Karakuyu, Abdullah Beytaş got banned until 2 May 2026 (8 Months). All of these players banned due to sportsbetting.

Mcfchazza submitted a change to Sam Lewis for his loan from Aston Villa to Oxford City, but it has been over-written by Susie Bot. Should I submit a new change with his loan (as he is still on loan) or is there a way to get Mcfchazza's one reinstated?

I have reinstated McFahazza's change mate, all good for tomorrow's update.

Hello everybody,

I´m here just to report what I think there's something wrong with de data update in Japan, where it seems to be ok because I opened the file with the game editor but in game some players are not where they should be , I ll give the example of Urawa Reds with 3 of major players not being in the team such as Thiago Santana, Gustafson and Yusuke Matsuo.

I repeat when I opened with game editor they are there but once I open the game and create de game file they in the wrong clubs.

It was SI games that removed him. He was in FM24, but was removed by SI in their January update. If you know which club he is at and can source his details, you can add him in, but first check to see if another user has already done so. If he is not at a club, then when he does join one you could add him in then. 

Hey, thanks for the reply – he's still in the same club, and was even listed in the soritoutsi database before, but he's finally gone in March 24th – can you somehow "resurrect" him or just add him as a "new" player?

Yes, you can add him as a new player from within the club page for his team.

If you click ‘Add New Youth Player’ you can use this to add players that SI removed. Fill in the relevant details, and then use the transfermarkt link as proof. Once submitted, it will be moderated and then added to the update. Thanks.

In terms of the data update, all looks well, but I would need to replicate what you have done and also load the editor files to have a look. Time wise, I will try over this weekend. Thanks

I can see both of these players in my game. The most common reason for players not appearing is if the database setup isn't big enough. Are you able to confirm (a) which Data Update version you are using (and from which date) and (b) what settings you used to setup your game?

Yes, I can also see Dinamo's players in the editor, but unfortunately, they're not in the game. What am I using? The MasterIgor file for the Belarusian league, plus the soritoutsi files today, of course. The database is 24.3, the highest. I tested it with all Brazilian players who have citizenship, are national players, etc., but it didn't change anything, and I didn't see any. I should add that I ran it on 78 leagues with 218,000 players, as well as just the Belarusian league. They weren't there anyway.

why has messi and suarez been removed from inter miami and put at a random uruguay team 

I am not able to replicate this, using the latest Data Update. I can also see no history of transfers submitted/approved that would cause this.

Is it possible you have other custom data files loaded alongside the SortItOutSI Data Update?

yeah i use afew leagues i load in from a megapack by falsobohemio, ive removed the uruguay one and i think thats resolved the issue. thanks

is there a possibility to make the loan contracts of players longer until the end of teh season 2025 2026? So if we start our game from the beginning of 25/26 season the loan players are still in their teams?

I also don’t understand why Can Uzun’s national team switch is always disabled. In real life, both of them play for Turkey, but in all my saves they decide not to. Could we update this? If not, which file do I need to edit in the editor to make these changes for my own save?

Currently, the Data Update has no mechanism to include these kind of changes to individual players who are in the vanilla database, other than by someone manually creating such a file. To this point, it is not something we've been able to establish - as I'm sure you can imagine, this would be a significant and time-consuming undertaking, especially on a global scale.

For newly-created players (that are added by the Data Update), the community can amend their nationality (and declaration) as these values are exposed for submissions.

I always think that these sort of things would be best-managed through community-submissions - but even there, the scale of work to moderate them could get significant (and, even so, this would require development work to achieve). I will suggest it to the site admin to see what the possibilities of this are…but in terms of timing, with FM26 about to launch, I suspect this may not be a good time to look at this.

In the meantime, if this is something you want to do for yourself, my recommendation would be to simply make these sort of changes in your own, new file rather than editing any existing part of the Data Update.

You would simply need to load the Pre-Game Editor, go to ‘People’, search the relevant players and adjust them as you see fit. When you're done, you save your changes and this will create a new FMF file. Put that into your ‘editor data’ folder and you should be good to go. Because the Data Update doesn't make these kinds of changes, your extra file should work alongside the update just fine.
