The new download method is garbage

In my opinion, the new method is very bad and I prefer the old one a thousand times more. Downloads are impossible to do. With the free method, it takes me 4 days to download a 4GB pack, and there are even old downloads that cannot be done and become unusable.

You can download by torrent, I think.

The only method isn't gone, read the text on the page when downloading, it clearly states how to revert to old method, you can also do this yourself in your settings page: https://sortitoutsi.net/account 

I've tried and it doesn't let me, I click on free servers, I've tried setting it to yes and no and nothing.

Free mirrors are useless. It says you have to wait a few minutes. I left it all day and the download link never appeared. They're doing this to force people to pay. I've been trying to download stadium backgrounds for a week now.

You're right about the backgrounds not having the alternative free mirrors, thanks for reporting i'll get those added.

Just to be clear you did not report this a week ago and you did not mention backgrounds in your first post. We're here to help but we can't help unless you actually give details of the problem.

It's impossible for us to know you're specifically saying that there's a problem with the backgrounds unless you actually share that information in your post.

Rather than throwing criticisms around why not take a moment to stop and think about what you're posting and whether it's the most helpful and then take the time to make sure it is.

Can you please also screenshot the download speed where it says it will take 4 days and the server it's coming from. You can get the server by clicking the little 🔗 icon on Chrome. Other browsers may differ.

I don't see any other link anywhere to return to the old ones.

Please calm down and stop posting multiple comments, pause and take the time to read carefully and then get it right the first time.

What I was asking for was the server that said it was going to take 4 days. Is that still happening?

The image I posted earlier says 4 hours, but in Chrome downloads it goes at 30kbs and stops by itself because it's so slow.

I'm sorry about what I posted earlier, it was a moment of frustration. I reset the PC and I don't have any content.

There are two problems

(1) No external mirrors for backgrounds

I've responded to this and said I will fix it now just be bloody patient and stop repeating that there are no external mirrors for backgrounds

(2) Download speeds of 30 kb saying it would take 4 days

Please do the following

1. Click “Slow Download”

2. Click the download icon in the top right

3. Click “Full Download History”

4. Click where it says “Copy Download Link"

Then paste a screenshot of the download speed and the link that you got from “Copy download link”

These instructions will only work for Google Chrome but you have not informed me of what web browser you're using so I just have to guess. If you are using a different browser please try and find the same information or at least tell me what browser you're having the problem with.

And it's taken you 13 comments to say two important things “I am using Opera Browser” and “It's not saying 4 days anymore it's now saying 5 hours”.

Next time stop, think for a really, really, really long time and then share all the most important information in one comment.

I will get the external mirrors added that are currently missing for the backgrounds 

I repeat, it showed me 5 hours because I tried the downloads in the early hours of the morning where the server is surely less used, that's why it showed me 5 hours, but I spent the whole week trying to download

use chrome (or any free online download manager), so you can resume any interruptions in the download.

I use free download manager and they stop anyway.

5/11/2025 still no backgrounds

I have to agree with the title. 

The download speed takes me back to 2000 (takes 2 days to download) and you say we can revert to the old method, but it does not work, so I'm stuck with this.

This is what appears when you click the hyperlink “here”, I tried changing the option in my profile too and now if I try to access the cut out megapack page it immediately takes me here: the same screen as when I click the hyperlink.

Sorry this was a bug in the site that was fixed yesterday.

wont to open a new dicussion…so ….my prob is really similar to this… i paid the 10€ for the speedup download…but i need between 4 and 5 hours for 15gb…

first  i thaught its a prob with the buildin downloader of firefox… but after trying an other downloader its still the same… worse speed….

take a look at the pic….

other downloads …(from other servers) are much faster…so its NOT my inet connection…

any ideas? doesnt make sense for me to pay money for such a slow n shi**** download rate…

and yes - i tried different download settings - always the same result-…

ARGGGHH - UPDATE - after 3 hours… Error 403 - forbidden ….!!!! already downloaded 58% …and now the download stopped !

UPDATE 2: i still dont have my facepack…after several tries always the same…interrupeted …and error messages like: cant read the start sequenze, or download failed…..  :---((((((
