Active is the version in the update, approved means the suggestion was approved but was since overwritten by what is now the active version. For detail, as much as possible across all areas is best and gives a greater chance of approval. 

Hi guys,  sorry bit of a noob here.  I have downloaded the latest live update but for some reason, Tom Wagner at Birmingham City is now showing as The Director of Football.  He is the Chairman, not the DoF.

I have tried to locate the edit file to change it myself, but it shows as “chairman” in the England changes, so I assume it's been updated somewhere else?

Any ideas for FM24.

Think it's been mentioned elsewhere but the ownership/chairmen/directors seem to be largely random now (on FM24), with personnel from previous FM24 updates missing.

Coupled with staff roles being changed or in some cases staff having now more than one role, it seems as if there's a partial merge with FM26 data.

Unless I'm mistaken, new data submissions to clubs/staff/players are actually only applicable where the data exists in FM26.

For example, per my previous post, I cannot change any data for George Baldock as he doesn't exist in FM26, yet he has appeared back in the latest FM24 update - i receive this error: 

"Unavailable

George Baldock is not available to edit in 26.0. They were last seen in 24.3."

Any ideas which editor file I should update to add (double check) that Wagner is the chairman? I assumed the England changes file?

@Susie Bot  is incredibly frustrating. It keeps replacing my precise corrections with nonsensical changes. While it has its uses, it’s just a hindrance to people who actually put their heart and soul into their work 

I managed to find an old file from the 9th November (fm24) that doesn't have the chairman glitch.  Is there any way I can get the new transfers but still use this version as a base without breaking stuff again?

I can't quite work out which file(s) have the issues in and where the transfers are found.

Unfortunately not - in terms of file structure, the non-playing staff changes (which are buggy) are in the same file as the transfers…and always have been.

Appreciate the situation with non-playing staff is frustrating - it is frustrating for the staff team, too. It's a tricky thing to solve; as we have to maintain data that serves as the basis for both FM26 and FM24 Data Updates and changes to the way SI structure their data throws up challenges.

I'll be honest, I don't know the very latest on progress of resolving the issue, nor the pathway to resolve it, so I can't give more than a simple response (as above).

Thanks.  Is this something I can edit in the editor before I start a game after I download the latest file? I am only bothered about Tom Wagner at Birmingham for my save.

If I created a new editor file for my blues management and loaded that with the update, would that sort it out?

I managed to change a similar thing for SUFC by setting Stephen Bettis back to Managing Director (on the data update) and it was updated for the FM24 download… maybe try it with Tom Wagner…but if he doesn't actually exist in FM24 then idk if it will work.

I did look at that but it had Wagner already as a Chairman, but I'm not sure if I did it right, though. He is in the game, 100%.

I checked on my save, and he is not listed on BCFCs staff at all. I made the change in the data update for you, see if it's on the next drop.

I have a question: Does the "sortitoutsi.net FM26 Data Update - Contracts" file only contain transfer information?

Can someone explain why this has happened?

Hi all,   I have an issue with a new save where Im missing a team from the Shropshire county PL ?   I have 16 and need 17 teams so I cant load England , I have the Daveincids Realism mod and The latest database update from this site.  Also using the England Lower League down to Lvl 20 database along with Wales N.Ire and Scotland lower leagues.   Anyone know what the conflict or issue might be please ?

Yes there have been a few issues like this I am trying to resolve and prevent in the future.

It is best not to update our files otherwise you can't install a new update in the future, create a new file instead.

The files are done alphanumerically so yours just has to be named last e.g. by adding ZZZ to the end.

Please just link to the timeline rather than screenshotting it's easier for anyone to take a look rather than having to search the name manually.

Please also try and speed things up by describing the specific situation in question, it really helps when i'm absolutely swamped to not have to try and figure it out for myself and possibly not understand because i'm rushing.

As it is I'm struggling to see exactly what happened here, I assume it's a bug of some sort.

You also said “it keeps” but only provided one example, maybe if you provided the others I could figure it out?

Maybe create a specific thread for this so it's all on in one place if its a persistent problem, having it across multiple pages in this thread is obviously going to be a nightmare to track.

For now i've made no changes and added it to my todo list to look in the future but no idea when i'll get to that.

It has been reported numerous times and as far as I am aware it was fixed already, now I'm struggling to track all the different reports because they're being reported in so many different places and not always very clearly.

FAO everyone in general, the home thread is not a great place to make bug reports, a single clear thread is much easier to track over time.

First of all, love all the great work and for you guys supporting FM24 still even with transfers! Would be hard to maintain I understand, so I am happy that most players I create for FM26 also work for FM24 (Only player missing is Enzo Molebe) but that’s probably because he is in the default FM26 database and not in the default FM24 DB. So I may need to create a file myself with players missing from FM24 which are in the default of FM24.

Two questions:

• Will there on day be possible to have the players that are in the default database of FM26 to be added to FM24 somehow? (I understand if the full focus is on FM26, which I dislike personally, the FM version)
• Will it one day be possible to change stuff like position? Like I follow the Eredivisie and Jersy Schouten for example plays as CB for now for the whole season, this change is in FM26 default DB, but a option to change this on Sorti and that the change then also would be in FM24 would be amazing

I can't answer about the future ability to add things like player position; but regarding your experience with Enzo Molebe and that concept: the current submission system has been designed to account for and enable exactly the scenario you describe: that is, to create a new player and have that created player only be added to the FM24 Data Update. As such, you should really have no need to create your own file to go alongside.

This is achieved by enabling users to link the newly-created player to an existing FM UID. When you create a player who exists in FM26 but not in FM24 and specify the UID of that player, the system on the website will recognise them as being in FM26 but not in FM24. As part of the Data Update creation process it will, therefore, not create them for the FM26 Data Update but it will create them for the FM24 Data Update. The same logic allows for those rare occasions where someone is in FM24 but not in FM26. Similarly, if no ID is specified it creates the player in both updates.

That is the basic theory/principle behind it. I haven't had a chance to look at the specific example you've cited, but a lot of work was put in to handle supporting both FM24 and FM26 to keep receiving updates of this nature and the system has been catering for that for a while now.

Hi there, I have a problem with FM24. Basically just started playing again and have installed quite a few graphical mods and also Daveincids realism and training mod and Im using the very large database update from sortitoutsi. On top of this I have installed the following

Lower leagues Northern Ireland to lvl 20

Wales lower leagues down to lvl 9

Scotland lower leagues lvl 15 i think

here is where the issue starts. I ve tried installing the lower leagues for England Lvl 10 lvl 14 & lvl 20 but none seem to work. I select them and deselect england base database but when I start a new save I can't add England to the leagues ? Its blanked out and a triangle saying the Shopshire County Premier League has 17 teams, ( 16 found ). ANy idea what is going on with the England lower leagues not working ? It works if I renmove the lower league again and use the base game database.

I think I know what the situation is with Enzo Molebe, specifically. It's a nuanced one, but there is a logical explanation.

Enzo Molebe was actually in the original, official FM24 database (24.0). Under the same UID, 2000288922. For whatever reason, he was removed from the official 24.3 database. He was then reintroduced for FM26.

I suspect the logic in the site's system cross-checks that he existed in 24.0 and 26.0, therefore, determines that he should not be created in either game. @Footygamer - a nuanced one, here, but not sure if there is a simple way to have the logic cross-check the 24.3 database specifically, rather than 24.0, which would presumably tackle this one (and any others that might be in the same boat).

The English lower leagues files are not part of the official SortItOutSI Data Update so it is tricky to directly troubleshoot.

However, as you mentioned you are using this site's update, one thing you will need to ensure is that the “England (League)” file is not activated, so that the only file affecting the English league system is the other custom DB. That being said, the fact you're getting a warning with respect to the number of teams in the division suggests you don't have two files clashing.

What that error is ultimately saying is that the custom DB results in there being 17 teams in the Shropshire County Premier League, but that the rules for that division expect/require 16.

What you can do in order to isolate/troubleshoot is disable everything except the English Lower League DB. See if it works on its own. If it does, that means some other file is also amending English divisional structure and the two are clashing.

If it doesn't work by itself, I'd try and flag it to the creator of the file as that is where the problem will lie. If you want to share some screenshots indicating the full list of files you are using, I may be able to advise further.

Thanks for sharing - unfortunately, that doesn't really help me troubleshoot further though. Specifically, I am keen to see a list of all of the custom editor data files you are using. You can either share a screenshot from the folder or the pane in the game setup screen. The in-game screen looks something like the below. You may need to take a couple of screenshots to show all of the files in the list. I am particularly interested in anything that might be amending team alignment in England. In my example screenshot below, you can see the “England (League)” file which is the one from the SortItOutSI Data Update.
