Hi, to quickly remove all the configs create yourself a new FM26 profile and activate it by selecting "Assign pictures manually" in the wizard and assign 1 picture for a player with ID 1234 by randomly picking from Afroamerican folder. This will delete all those config.xml files created by your real profile and will add 1 config.xml into the Afroamerican with 1 mapping that will basically instaload into the game with no delay. When ready to play again simply re-activate your real profile

Anyways, the error seems to not have anything to do with this. I am still getting it. But that is the “fun” of debugging 😉

It does work with FM24 and will use all pictures as long as they are inside of my folder structure, so if you want you can repackage other facepacks inside

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the guys that works on that, this is truly amazing!

For those that are facing issue with “Lazy Install”, please note that this didn't work on my side but all worked well in 5minutes with the other method using the software provided by the team.

It’s been resolved and it’s working properly now. The issue was with the extraction. I didn’t extract it directly here at first — I created a folder and then copied it there. I thought I’d try extracting it directly to the correct location, and that worked. 😀

I have just bought a new pc…, and when I now use the program, it keeps trying to take the pictures from the old path, eventhough I have made a new install, and keep saying it should take the pictures from C: it changes it to G: (was there on the old PC)

Go to c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\com.cprrylow\NG_Regens Manager 26\ and delete the app_config.json file. After that restart the software and it will show you the initial setup wizard again so you can setup all your folders

A new Picture Pack has been released for the version with the software, it has around 13500 new pictures and 4 completely new ethnicity categories.

I plan to do another pack for the software version and after that I will work on updating the bundle version to refresh it a bit.

The memory scan of the savefile seems to stop reading and applying faces to players when the player IDs start beginning with 2003[..], as opposed to 2002[...]. It is still possible to manually apply faces to these players, but they don't get applied automatically.

Im just posting this as ill live without it (My choice lol)… But Im on linux using the lazy side. When i started with cachyos the file replacement worked ok. Populated players no issue. Ive now moved to Zorin os (Needed another program so kinda had no choice) - but the lazy way now doesnt work at all no matter what i do?

Ive tried every combo and i think ive downloaded it at least 5 times. But nope - only the black silohuettes. Strange.. but linux hey :-)

I have followed the lazy way for Windows and the option for ‘use pre-generated pictures of players (and staff) rather than dynamically generated images’ isn't there so the faces are blank

The lazy method is completely in God’s SI hands, unfortunately. There’s nothing I can do here to help you.

On Windows, I strongly recommend using the full method with the software, as the bundle method is inferior in every way imaginable.

On Linux/macOS, I understand that the whole VM approach is very user-unfriendly, but again, there’s nothing I can do about it. Sorry, folks.

I am on FM24 on Windows. They also have 10 digits. For me players started generating with 2003.. IDs somewhere around 2050 with a large database, so it takes a while for them to start generating.

Interesting! I must admin I have yet to see a 2003.. player, so I assumed 2002999999 was the upper limit. I really did have a condition in code that filtered out everything above that. I have rised the limit to 2003999999 now, you can download the updated scanner file here, I cant test it unfortunatelly as I have no save with 2003 players available…

Put it into c:\Program Files (x86)\NG_Regens Manager 26\data\flutter_assets\assets\memoryreader\ overwriting the one that is there (maybe make a backup just to be sure), after that restart the software and re-scan in preserve mode. I hope it works and thanks for reporting!

Also another user has reported a bug (not related to the problem above) that affected Algeria players (both male and female) from being found on FM26, I have a fixed file here (folder to put is the same as above)

Thanks! Had to remove the original config file to get it to work but it still preserved all the old faces, so all good! I assume there is no upper limit as regens will always continue to generate, but I have been playing on the same save file since the beginning of FM23, and it took 30 seasons to get to 2003.., so it is more of what a realistic limit is for how long people stick with the same save file.  

The ultimate evolution of this app would be to have pairs of portraits with an older version. It's a little jarring that everyone looks 16 for ever.

Yeah, unfortunatelly the tech is not there yet. Or like it is, but not out of the box and time investment would be immense. It is something I play with from time to time to check where we are. I want to test on Staff first as theoretical possible age gap there is a lot bigger + total number of pictures for Staff pack is rather low.

You can try downloading from a different place (either from my web or from here) or using a different browser. The only other option is to whitelist the software. Welcome to the magical world of modern AVs where rolling the dice is the way to go… nothing I can do from my side to make it better, sorry mate.
