Hi, only just got time to do a quick rebuild. I have specifically set it to require v1 Instruction set instead of v4. If this still wont work I will have to do a longer RTFM session on how to build for Linux properly 😀

Trying to get it to work on FM26 follow all the instructions but still dosent load the new faces despite scanning them and finding the Newgens to replace..

Im at a loss…please help

I think it needs an update. Crashes each time I try to scan for newgens before the results are displayed.

Hi, please check if your NG_Regens picture foler is in your FM26 graphics folder and that you see config.xml files being added inside it. Also since you also have FM24 make sure you create your savegame profiles for FM26, not for FM24

Will the NG Manager auto detect it on the new system?

Make sure your settings are like here 

For manual way you would have to manually keep your “Savegame Profiles” folder from the software directory (AppData/Roaming/com.cprrylow/NG_Regens Manager 26/) in sync on both devices + make sure you install the same picture packs on both machines.

I would strongly suggest to use some kind of automated synchronization - either via some kind of cloud storage (GDrive, Dropbox etc) or via direct syncing (highly recommend looking into Syncthing, probably the best solution for your usecase and completely free https://syncthing.net/ There should be many youtube tutorials on that and is cross platform)

Also, a quick update on the project: I’m currently working on my own savegame scanner as a replacement for the memory scanner.

The current mem scanner works well on Windows, but it’s a pain to use on Mac and a pain to maintain, as it effectively needs three different code versions for three different OSs. It also triggers a lot of antivirus warnings; the pattern of “connecting to another process and reading its memory” is very malware-like, so it frequently flags AI modules.

I’m working on a solution that will allow the tool to read all information directly from the savegame file. This should allow me to use the same codebase for all systems and eliminate the need to turn SIP off on Macs. I’m also migrating the entire codebase to Rust, which should speed up the processing of very large save files and add support for older Intel Macs.

No ETA yet, as my schedule is very unpredictable right now, but I’m already making good progress.

Also, Brazil will be getting an updated Picture Pack next.

Hi no problem, Ive tried what you have recommended to the letter but even though the scanning is bringing up the regen face changes list, its still showing the Si regen faces, not massively bothered as use your excellent pack on FM24 with no problems at all…but it is frustating ref FM26

I tried doing the scan from scratch multiple times. Same result: always men's faces on women's staff.

Hang tight my friend. Im turnining onto the finish line with my Savegame scanner development. It will replace the current memory scanner and will work exactly the same for Windows, Mac and Linux with no need to disable SIP. If I succeed it will be a blessing for Mac and will solve all the issues including yours.

Hi! I have a problem, in the NG regens manager I can't download update packs 11 and 12 because McAfee tells me they are two viruses. Do you think these files are safe or should I just leave it alone? Thanks to anyone who can help me.

Hi, those are two zip archives with literally nothing else in them other than PNG image files.

Also independet of that (and I understand it probably simply came pre-installed with your PC) McAfee is an absolute trash tier antivirus, borderline malware itself.

Hi not sure about bundle, but I have tested the Windows/Linux scanner on both existing and new saves and it seem to be working as before. Cant test on Mac, I hope someone can confirm.

Tried to use the bundle on Mac just now and got this error:

“fm” is damaged and can’t be opened.

Not sure whether I've done something wrong or it requires an update, dragged the bundle to the correct file location and tested twice but doesn't appear to work unfortunately.

Hmm the bundle might be broken, they have changed something with newgens in that update, probably the bundle needs to be repackaged or something similar… I will try to rebundle it soon, but it might take some.

Funny timing: I had the same idea and planned to start building it this weekend, then I discovered you already shipped it. 😄 Nice job.

One quick question: have you or anyone else noticed slower loading in FM after using it? For me, when a newgen profile opens (or any screen where a newgen face appears), it sometimes takes a bit to load and the game feels noticeably more sluggish. It makes me a bit nervous like the save might crash at any moment.

Any tips on what to check or tweak would be appreciated.

Regarding your question: I personaly havent encounter that, but since the pack is being used by more than 100k people I have heard many different stories from other users, most of them boiling down to UI being rather bad optimized. Pictures not loading at first, but then suddenly starting appearing in a middle of a playthrough, long loading times, stuttering. Game works fine one day, stutters on another, then again runs fine… Apparently the split FM24/FM26 is roughly 50/50, but 90% of my bug reports come from FM26 🙂

Never heard about the game actually crashing though, so I hope you are safe.

Excuse me for commenting. I saw on X that using this MOD after the latest update causes the game to crash. Is that true? If so, should I avoid using it until ng_regens is updated?
