This NewGen Facepack contains 227,000 new faces for newgens in Football Manager.
Newgens (sometimes called regens) are the new players that the game generates, primarily for youth intakes, but sometimes also to fill teams in playable leagues, new backroom staff and other people like members of the press and agents.
By default the faces associated with these players are awful. This pack fixes that.
The pack currently consists of:
~193,000 male player pictures across 60 different ethnicity categories
~16000 female player pictures - this base pack is still under development, not every nation/ethnicity is covered yet.
~18000 staff pictures for both male and female.
FM26/FM24 Windows, Mac and SteamDeck/Linux Instructions
This is the main installation method that allows you to use the pack in its full glory.

On Mac this now requires no SIP deactivation and no sudo and no other workarounds.
Lazy Install using the Bundle Replacement Method
If you are lazy and don't care too much about the faces follow these instructions. However be warned that this method is severely limited and only has 7000 male and 7000 female picture total, so you may see repeat faces on multiple profiles or incorrectly assigned skin colours and ethnicities.
This method should only be considered as a demo version of the actual full pack.
- Download “ui-newgen-portraits_assets_all.bundle”
- Place the file here:
- Windows: \Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\fm_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64\ui-newgen-portraits_assets_all.bundle'
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 26/fm.app/Contents/Resources/Data/StreamingAssets/aa/StandaloneOSX/ui-newgen-portraits_assets_all.bundle
- In FM26 > Preferences > Detailed > Audio & Visual.
- Check ✅ Show pictures of players (and staff) who have been generated by the game
- Check ✅ Use pre-generated pictures of players (and staff) rather than dynamically-generated images
- Restart Football Manager 26

I will see what I can do and if there is anything I can do at all or if that is something SI should fix.
Press is generally almost impossible to troubleshoot. They are unclickables, no way to export, no visible IDs. I just kinda have to cross my fingers and hope it works.
Female Staff are theoretically easier to troubleshoot as they have real profiles, but finding them in FM26 is also a pain as you cant filter by geneder, by ID or by newgen/real tag.

Hey! I tried to generate picture to a female staff member, app does it but in game there's only blank face (the black one that is on those that don't have any picture), SO I tried to generate a new one, doesn't work.
I tried both regen and real person tabs, tried to manually write the routes to pictures but still doesn't work. And I made sure that the “codes” are correct on config files.
After all that when I tried to generate via app, it informs me there is picture assigned to the staff member, but in game theres nothing

I tried again, this time I deleted that staff membesr config file “codes” and tried again. So I genereated a new picture and went to check the file, this time there are two seperate “codes" for that one staff member. And I did delete all the previous ones before I tried again.

I've ran this on a new save and some pictures are now removed and showing silhouettes. Any idea how to get pics back so there are no silhouettes showing?

Both of your problems look like bugs on SI side. Specifically regarding Female Staff there are a lot of reports, that FM26 ignores their assignments since the latest patch. I havent done a deep tshoot on my side yet, but many people reporting this same problem.
“silhouettes” is also a classic example of an SI bug where the game refuses to load pictures for some reason. There is no fix that works for everyone unfortunatelly. Someone says pictures will load up eventually after a couple of hours of play. Some say tweaking with graphical settings forced the game to refresh. Also double check your settings are as on this screenshot (you can also try to change that, save, restart game, then rever back, save, restart).

Thanks for trying. I don't understand what is happening, because I have downloaded the new one, and reloaded my save, and the players I said, still don't have pictures. Further to this, I've now attached some screenshots to prove it. @pvt.rylow#6089

Is there anyway you can get the regen generated faces showing when scoring a goal in germany bundesliga 2 and 1???
On fm24 with the regen generator the goalscorers where showing in the 3d match engine
On fm26 the regen stay ‘black silhouet’.

I have to mention that when I couldn't assing picture to that female staff member, I tried with a picture from another folder and it worked. So the one that I tried first which didn't work was from the NorthWestEurope and I tried a second one which was from NorthCentralEurope and those didn't work, but the one that did work was from CaucasianNA folder.
I thought I should mention this.

These same players had real picture before using your tool. I can remove your config, and screen shot the player before and after showing the silhouette after running the NG Regen.
I've used your tool since around launch and none of my other saves faced the silhouette issue.
I've never been able to get the game created staff or media folks to have your faces though, in any save.

Hi, Im not sure, but wasnt that a bug that SI officially recognized and later clamed to got fixed?… I will check the changelogs for FM26 if Im right, but Im almost positive I saw that as fixed SI bug

So you get absolutely 0 pictures now for all the regens? Or only some have silhouette? Regarding staff (not media, but real staff) - do you also get silhouettes or it stays by SI generated face?
Silhouettes just smells SI bug to me, because regens should never ever get silhouettes. Silhouettes are for real players who dont have picture attached. Newgens should get either SI face or an assigned picture. Silhouettes might point towards that something around your “Show pictures of players (and Staff) who have been generated by the game” is totally bugged. I would probably try uncheck it, save-reload, see if it had any effect, then check back and save-reload again

Hi, Im almost sure your antivirus is blocking it. I see you are using the memory reading method application, it often triggers false positives because of how it scans FM process memory. You can either try to whitelist the version you have or you can try the new savefile reader method, it is a lot more gentle in how it gets FM data so it triggers less antivirus attention. It doesnt work for me. I tried both softwares, NG Manager and NG Manger v2 (for save game files). They both find the same number of missing faces (~32000), I hit “Generate” and it tells me that everthing went fine. I restart FM26 but no faces are shown. If I start the NG Manager again it finds the same amount of missing faces. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, if both scanners find players that basically narrows possible problems to those options:
3. Is it possible that you have started a game with Fake players? Fake players work differently and SI doest allow picture assignments for them unfortunatelly.

I have the same issue Peter. I tried many many times properly but it doesn't work. I don't know if you check but when I checked, I couldn't find my regen players' ids in the config file, there are many but not my players and also I see many other regen players from other teams with no face after installment. Something wrong but I couldn't find it.
