@mons, @Lebohang Mokoena I also have a question for you two: is it accepted for a player who hasn't appeared in the game in a long time (FM 20 for example) to add a better image than the current one?

How many times have we told you no?

I reiterate that:

As you're still starting out, instead of delving straight into packs with the ensuing risk that any issues in your cutting technique are repeated in multiple images, I suggest posting a source and your cut from it in this thread for our feedback

Hi @mons as I promised been completed 36 facepack for just 1 team from Malaysian Super Leagues. Here's some preview awaiting for your approval before i publish whole squad players and staff :

I have already asked you, twice now, to provide the original source images so that we can gauge if the poor quality is up to them or to your technique. I have also already pointed out that collars are mandatory and that your previous cuts were cropped too far from the top of the hair since 2-3 pixels is more than enough.

I ask you, yet again, to pay more attention to the guidelines.

I'm afraid you're not understanding the guideines.

We want the player's face to fill the canvas for the 250px cutout, which would mean cropping the image along these red lines:

At the same time, we want all cuts to include a little bit of collar. Since in some sources like this one, the person in the image may have a longer neck than usual, this would be quite difficult to achieve naturally.

Here's a video of the process on how to nudge the collar upwards:

I would recommend using remove.bg, which is a free online tool which removes the background to an excellent standard, for free and almost instantly.

Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons. If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

This is, what, your 20th account? I have absolutely no faith things will be any different in this instance. You may or may not start well, then you'll start doing what you want and ignore the guidelines yet again. We'll ban you, then you'll create a new account, and we'll start the whole process again.

Follow the rules, like everyone else, or go away for good please.

I know you don't like my presence here, I know you feel like banging your heads against the walls when you see me, but I like working here and I probably have a lot of open accounts.

If you really like it here, then just follow the guidelines that we have. Oh, and stop constantly demanding our attention.

For me, and to end this discussion, the problem isn't necessarily that you keep creating accounts. The problem, for me, is that no matter how many times we tell you "don't do that," you just say, "Okay, I won't do it again." But you keep doing it, so I personally think, "Why should I bother arguing with you if I see you're still doing the same thing? Can you somehow show that you're finally going to take things seriously? Can you enjoy the community like so many other users without ignoring the rules? I'd like to see that.

Hello,

I haven't dived a lot in these forums before so I hope this is the best place to ask : I would soon submit a pack of pictures to cut, mainly for amateur french players. I see a situation where the same picture I'm about to submit is already waiting, but in lesser quality that what I found (the picture waiting has a lot more grain). In such situations, can I still upload the picture I have, or is it more a “first arrived, first picked” basis ? I don't want to risk a 2nd warning ahah.

Example, a picture waiting here : https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/browse/1/1739698/timeline

That image is 1448 x 2048 pixels in size, and yours is significantly smaller. The current one might be very slightly grainy, but it's a much preferable option than yours. "First come first served" doesn't really apply - it's the better source which should be retained.

I had resized it for the message, but all pictures I have for Vendée Poirée Football are 1448x2048 as well 😉

If you've resized it, then you've changed the basis of comparison 😕

Hi @mons  thanks for you cuz still replying my questions here on this thread. I've been busy nowadays but now am still interested to doing contribute a facepacks for the whole community. So here are updates working on my examples of total 37 players but its on last season(current) JDT FC facepacks only. If you want me continue to making this works I'd love to do it again for next season but it had to wait till new seasons started. I've no hard feelings to you and thank you for welcoming me here as newbie

You appear to have ignored most of what I told you in my previous communication, particularly in this post and this post too 😕

Please be sure to follow the guidelines and our replies to your questions, because it's a waste of time for all concerned, otherwise.

Please, don't cut people who only appeared on the “fm24 update” because those IDs are not real. Check if they're already in FM26.

Hi folks,

I did some AI vibe coding over the weekend and generated some scripts that makes the process of going from source image to complete cutout a little easier. I uploaded it under the sortitoutsi org on github: https://github.com/sortitoutsi/Auto-cutter

The script can be run together of standalone, so use the parts of it you want, e.g. just download the sources + remove the glow

In my testing it works (source to complete cutout) for about 30-40% of the sources. I still have issues with beard and moving the shirt up on source with long necks.

Pretty much all of my latest cutout are done 100% with the scripts: https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/submissions/1/queue?submitted_by_id=647321

To be clear: The whole repo is pretty much vibe coded from the ground up (with human oversight). Both the docs and scripts are made with claude code. I know some python, but next-to-nothing about computer vision, AI, etc. so if there are someone here who knows this stuff and can provide specific feedback or even a pull request that would be appreciated 🙂

Sorry, I'm a little rusty so some imperfections slip through. A script for centering the cutout should be fairly easy to make prompt claude to make 😅

If a player is going to the World Cup, wait a few days for the official photos to be released. Everyone wants to cut them, as always happens during the World Cup so it doesn't making sense searching for lower quality pics.
