What Is FM Dossier?

FM Dossier gives you three different ways to read the same save:

Scout Mode

See players through the same fog of war your scouts would.

Attributes appear only as far as your scouting knowledge allows: exact values, ranges, gaps, or nothing at all. Role fit is shown honestly as a range while a player is still being scouted, and narrows to an exact figure once you know them fully.

This is the immersive way to use FM Dossier if you still want your save to feel realistic.

Full Mode

The complete truth.

Every player, every visible attribute, role fit and profile detail, with no fog. Ideal if you want a complete analytical view of your save without clicking through endless in-game screens.

Moneyball Mode

A value and efficiency lens.

Stop asking only “How good is he?” and start asking “How worth it is he?”

New in Version 1.7.0: The Staff Tool

Football Manager 2026 replaced staff attribute numbers with words. FM Dossier gives you the numbers back — the same 1–20 scale you already read for players — and wraps them in the tools you already know.

• Every coach, scout, physio, analyst and director, with their full attribute set: coaching, mental, knowledge, medical and data, plus reputation and coaching badge.
• A dedicated Staff screen that works like Player Search — search the whole world of staff, sort the entire list by any column, choose your columns, and see staff photos beside every name.
• A filter panel in the same design as the player one — rank by a coaching or backroom role, set a minimum role fit, require a minimum badge or league reputation, and floor any attribute, with a one-click quick-pick that fills in a role’s key attributes.
• Focus the list on who you can actually get — hide auto-assigned board members and directors, hide rival managers, or keep it to staff a club of your standing could realistically sign.
• Role fit for staff, scored in the same transparent way as player role fit, so you find the right specialist rather than the biggest name.
• A full staff dossier — photo, key facts, the complete attribute grid, best role and every role fit, with the attributes for a chosen role highlighted on click.
• Compare staff side by side, add them to shortlists, and browse a Backroom and a Board & Medical tab on every club — your own and anyone else’s.

The Realism Mod

An optional companion that makes each match play out more realistically for your club.

Pick a strength — Slight, Moderate, Harsh or Extreme — press Start and play.

Your side competes at the level you chose automatically, with nothing to press during matches.

• Designed exclusively for offline single-player.
• Your save is never modified.
• Everything is applied to live memory while you play.
• All changes revert the moment you stop the companion.
• Completely optional and downloaded separately from inside FM Dossier.
• Enable it when you want it or ignore it entirely when you do not.

Because it works alongside a running game, some antivirus tools may flag it. This is expected for this type of tool, and you remain fully in control of when it is downloaded and when it runs.

Why I Made It

I wanted something that felt like a proper football department tool, not another spreadsheet.

Football Manager gives you a huge amount of information, but it is spread across many different screens. FM Dossier is designed to make that information easier to understand and act on.

It helps answer questions such as:

• Who is actually the best fit for this role?
• Which wonderkid is worth chasing?
• Which expensive player is not providing enough value?
• Where is my squad too thin?
• Who belongs in my national-team pool?
• Which coach or scout should I actually hire?
• Is this player genuinely good, or just famous?
• Is this signing a bargain, or is it a trap?

FM Dossier is not meant to play the game for you.

It is meant to help you make better decisions faster.

Views Included

Player View

Detailed player dossiers with role fit, attributes, fingerprint radar, scouting state, value, contract, release clause, fitness, personality, eligibility, progression and recommendations.

Team View

Browse clubs by country and competition.

Jump directly into squads, leagues and recruitment markets, map your squad depth, plan transfers with the Keep / Fringe / Sell / Incoming board, and read each club’s full backroom on its staff tab.

Staff View

Search the whole world of staff the way you search players — full attribute numbers, role fit, filters, comparison and shortlists — to plan every backroom hire, from coaches to scouts to sporting directors.

Nation View

Browse national-team pools, eligibility groups and age categories, including senior, U21, U19 and U17 teams.

Plan your call-ups and build long-term international squads. This is especially useful for international management, one-nation saves and youth scouting.

FM Dossier has grown a long way since its first release and is updated regularly.
