2026/27 League Updates - FM24 & FM26 - Official / Ongoing Status Thread

Apologies all - I know that this thread (after a period of very regular updates and staying on top of things) has fallen over a bit and there has been a visible slow-down in any further progress. That's my fault - I had some unexpected, time-consuming real-life stuff I had to attend with and so I vanished off the face of the internet for a while.

Looking through the questions asked that haven't had answers, I see that:

1. A few have asked about European qualifications. The position stated in the first post (in bold, just above the nation-by-nation table, starting with “Continental Qualification:”) remains the case. Getting continental qualifications right, across the board, is tricky and relies on the individual nations being taken care of. It's difficult/impossible to ‘force’, properly.

2. @gp131993 - acknowledging regarding the Greek Cup. I would have expected the rules in the file to account for the new number of teams because, when I was configuring it, I did it with the new Super League 2 structure in mind. However, I will take a look and try and get this fully tested, replicated and corrected as necessary. I cannot promise how quickly I will do this - as you may be able to tell, the to-do list is rather long.

3. For those asking about specific leagues. Everything that is in the Data Update for either FM24 or FM26 is updated in the first post. If the league you're asking about is not on the list, the answer is that it is not updated (yet).

Again, I can only apologise for the relative delay/slowing down. I will do my best to progress individual nations with ‘quick’ updates for 2026/27 in parallel of the bigger piece of work to move to a 2026 Start Date, which I can confirm is being worked on. I will update the first post with any new nations that are added to the Data Update.

As per the opening post - it is on track to be released later today, for both FM24 and FM26.

Any ETA on the Romanian league?

I guess the Turkish league still isn't ready.

Updated files for Türkiye have now been uploaded for both the FM24 and FM26 Data Update. I had estimated today and I am glad I was able to turn it around on that estimated day. First post of this thread is updated and will always be updated as soon as new files are completed and added. So I recommend checking that for any specific nations you are seeking the latest status for.

I'm going to do some baseline estimates for the next batch of nations between now and the weekend. For right now, my priority is to complete the nations that have been updated for either FM24 or FM26, but not both…after which I'll move on to the next group of nations.

Difficult to provide an ETA. A lot of it depends on how work and family life goes, for me…and the current heatwave in the UK is making things very difficult, to be honest.

First, thank you for your excellent work. I have a question: what's an approximate date when the Spanish leagues might be updated in the FM24 database? Keep up the great work!

Any update on Player History file for FM24?

Also, anyone know if there's a new Real Fixtures download which covers in particular the English Leagues now that they've been released.

Guys, I just comment to say a big thank you for this update. 

I believe that SI is in the wrong path and therefore for the next few years it will be critical to update the FM24 till the game is back to normal! 

A FM24 start date 06/2026 file with new squad and updated abilities based on fans submissions, will be awesome for the community.

Maybe would it be an idea someone to create a special skin for this file from sortitoutsi ? It would make it feel like a totally new game!

Thanks for your response. Just a quick one. When I run the file on FM24 starting in 2025/26 (28/08/2025) it seems the loans have ended/never started at all. I'm not technical at all but is there an old version of the file that might help? cc @M.C

I was just about to start a new save on FM24 but I saw the last few league updates on the first post are estimated to be released today, does anyone know what time these get released or could somebody reply to this comment when they have been pleased?

I'm so grateful for these updates, to keep fm24 relevant after so many years is very impressive and a credit to the work being done by the community.

I can advise with some certainty that if they materialise today, it’ll be pretty late (from the perspective of the UK timezone). I’ll be doing these in the evening when my kids are in bed - after a day of work in the office, which is where I currently am.

If you intend to start a long-term save and can hold off until tomorrow, then you’ll have more leagues updated than starting today.

That being said, there are more - still - to come so that position of ‘iterating’ the content will continue through the next few weeks and beyond. The overall target is to update every playable nation, across FM24 and FM26. So we have a way to go yet.

Brilliant work as always from all involved, huge thanks for keeping FM24 playable, absolute life savers.

That's completely understandable and thanks for the response aswell all the work you're putting in. 

I'm still playing a save so I'm in no rush, just got the new save itch today.

the game does not start in 2025/26 on FM24 it starts in 2023/24 

Sorry for the delay in responding.

To confirm: we do not, as far as I know, maintain any ‘previous versions’ of the No Date Changes update. Generally, this has been offered ‘as is’ for a small percentage of the community that, for whichever reasons, like to use it - whether that's to use it alongside ‘custom’ start date files, or just because for whatever reason they don't want the various date-based offsets that the main Data Update includes.

As such, there is nothing that exists to simulate a 2025/26 start date to support the particular scenario you're seeking to achieve. In general, we are very much focused now on getting everything updated to reflect the start of 2026/27 - so the files we're producing for the main Data Update will reflect the upcoming season and, when we achieve it, the in-game start date will also reflect the start of 2026/27 (but that is phase two of our overall plan and we're not there yet).

I'm VERY intrigued by the in-game start date change to reflect the start of 2026/27 for FM24 - that will be a game changer 👊

Hi M.C - is there any update to the progress of this - I'm still struggling to either sign or offload players who, in real life, have been at their clubs last year but in-game they are seen as ‘recently signed’.

I paid for it today and Rangers aren't in Europe league, the place has been given to Dunfermline in the second division, could you please change this or forward me to someone who does it. Rangers enter at the UEL third qualifying round
