And don't be so shocked by the their neanderthal ways, poor souls don't get many days out.

One drunk 14 year old decided to shout loudly in my face while I was walking home and then pretend to put his hands towards my throat.

The most pathetic part? When his parents started patting him on the back as he quickly scuttled away shouting "ye only came tae see the rangers."

Major rebranding? What? Changing the names of divisions, is not really major.

It is quite major.

All leagues are now under the one body, rather than 2.

They've also introduced various play-offs between the divisions for relegation/promotion.

"A mountain of work has been done over the summer to get to this point and I believe there is much more that can be done," said SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster.

Fucking hell. No wonder Scottish football is in a state if its classed as a mountain of work to copy the English leagues.

So basically, they've looked at the English leagues and thought, we must do that and done it.

Well no, because the play-offs are nothing like England's.

The only change that is similar is the league names.

The season starts today. Thistle v Dundee United. Will be the first time I've seen Thistle in the top flight. Can't wait.

The SPFL kicks off with a bore draw. Not a good omen.

If you watched the game, it was more than a 'bore draw'.

I caught a fair bit of the game and enjoyed it for the most part. Still, the history books will still read 0-0.

Typical Tim, always running down everyone without facts.

For a 0-0 that was one of the most exciting games I've been to with both teams more than capable of stealing a win. Fox's save from Goodwillie's first half header was outrageous.

United's Callum Butcher was lucky to remain on the field aside from his over-the-ball lunge on Gary Fraser, he crunched Bannigan and should have been a penalty for that and then for the handling of the ball as Bannigan tried to shoot.

In terms of our performance levels, if we keep them up to what was a very high standard yesterday then I think survival is very much attainable.

Edinburgh Derby tomorrow, in all my years supporting Hibs I can't remember a time both sides went into the game in such wretched shape, safe to say I've stuck a few quid on a 0-0 draw.

As for Thistle, wowee, I cannot recall a better feeling among the fans and the players. Everyone's just so well connected and the team are playing brilliantly. An amazing result yesterday.

What a great trip. It was so exhausting and expensive but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

My disdain for Kenny Miller went totally unproven at the match. He was pretty good and turned Cahill magnificently.

Trafalgar Square atmosphere was great. Met Smurph there also. My shock and surprise at being recognised in such a place packed full of Scots was hilarious to me.

Got the train back yesterday and then went straight to The Cribs gig in Aberdeen. That was a struggle.

To end this bring on Celtic on Saturday! COYR!
