Nothing wrong with the cut, but it looks to me like you're using some form of effect on the cuts, which makes them look waxen and unrealistic. Please avoid tweaking the source images unless absolutely necessary

I noticed that too. I was using one of the effects from the 'image adjustments' action you posted in the OP of this thread.
I'll refrain from using it in future, though.

Iirc, I only used that particular effect when there was one cutter a couple of years back who like to add extra noise. I've not used it to tweak cuts for aaaages now.
Out of that lot, the only one I encourage cutters to use regularly is the just brighten effect, in cases where the source image is too dark.
