Manchester United is pleased to announce it has reached agreement with FK Vojvodina for the transfer of Serbian Under-17 international goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic.

Both clubs have agreed that the player will remain with FK Vojvodina next season.

If Milinkovic goes on to play for United's first team, he will follow in the footsteps of two fellow Serbians - departing captain Nemanja Vidic (300 appearances from 2006 to 2014) and winger Zoran Tosic (5 appearances from 2009 to 2010).

Milinkovic, who turned 17 on 20 February, made six appearances for Serbia in the qualifying phase for the UEFA Under-17 Championship, keeping three clean sheets. His country marginally missed out on a place in the finals tournament currently being held in Malta, after finishing above Republic of Ireland and Georgia but behind Germany on goal difference in an elite-round group.

Seems pretty much nailed on.

For all the faults of RVP as our captain, its going to be nice to see him get it over Rooney.

there's no one else to give it to anyway really, even more so as we have no idea who is actually staying

Yeah pretty much, the fact Evans and Carrick are two fairly highly suggested names in the discussion basically sums it up. Pair of bollockless twats.

Why do Man Utd fans hate Rooney so much?

Hates probably not the right word, but he eroded a ton of good will with fans when he tried to leave the first time, just about earnt it back and then wanted to leave again. So when Moyes bent over backwards for him and when he puts in the months of inept displays where he looks like a pub player thats par for the course.

Its similar to the England cricket team if you understand the analogy, they eroded a ton of public good will by being unlikeable when they were good, and when they turned to shit over the winter everyone stuck the knives in, now they're trying to be likeable again so they get some support when they're shit.

His record this season is pretty good though, 17 in 29?

Better than last year.

Yeah, but without really playing well apart from at the start of the season. He has a weird knack of playing like absolute dog shite, but then banging in a brace which I guess is a good trait to have in a way, but people want more from him given what he just held the club to ransom to get.

Oh and he did the same thing last season too, although I reckon he probably played a bit better in amongst a very stop start season because of injuries.

It's just one of those things though, he's a better player than far more liked United ones like Welbeck or Kagawa.

yeah he's nowhere near consistent enough to justify the money we pay and and the amount everyone seems to bend over backwards for him. I think the majority of fans wouldnt be arsed if he left. Especially as we have Kagawa, Mata and Januzaj who can play in the deeper role he seems to prefer. Get another very good striker who likes to stay up top and I dont think he would be missed

Rooney is better than Kagawa though, I really don't understand the Kagawa love in. He's nowhere near world class. He's being used I'd say about correctly at the minute.

Me neither tbf, Im pretty sure the reason that he's not been played more is because he's not good enough but he's technically gifted which makes him stand out against some of the shite we have like Young and Valencia, and he was very good at Dortmund.

Reckon Van Gaal might like him, but he doesn't deserve to get in the team ahead of the likes of Mata in his favoured position
so its going to be difficult for him.

Valencia had a fucking awesome season for you lot like 2 year ago, then he broke his ankle and he's never been the same.

Shame, really.

Yeah he did. To be fair, even when he was good he was one dimensional and predictable which I think has factored in to his decline because physically he looks as good as ever, its the inability to cross for the past 2 years which baffles me.

More details here

"overbalanced" is a great word

"Well I thought I fought well; I controlled the fight for most of the first half, plenty of swings, but I just couldn't land that decisive punch and ultimately that's what cost me. My opponent was very good, at the sort of level I should be aiming for. But I felt I was very unlucky with some of the decisions made by the bar manager."
