No prizes for guessing who scored Blackburn's equalizer.

Of course it was Leon Best!

I really don't get this bizarre back-of-shirt hoop thing Derby's kit has.

I quite like it, something different at least.

~~~
Good win away at Donny Rovers for us yesterday, thought we were going to fluff it but MacKenzie continues to prove me wrong and even gets goals! Glad we signed Davies and that he scored on his debut. We desperately need a right back, or two rather! Broadfoot would be outpaced by my nan and she's been dead ten years. Formed a good partnership with Mac towards the end of the season, but I really think Cathcart should be starting for us in the centre of defence.
Aye he was. Good job for us that Clough was so negative and took him and that Russell off to try and shut up shop.
Very nicely taken goal by Best, he was poor last season but hopefully that'll give him a boost now. No idea what was going through Marrow's mind for their penalty. Him and Lowe in the midfield is a terrible combination.
went to Derby yesterday good point for us in the end with a last minute equalizer great goal by Best, Lowe and Marrow in centre midfield were very poor they ran around alot but did nothing with the ball. But Spur was excellent at left back on his debut. Good amount of Rovers fans which was good too see, also thought Will Hughes was excellent for Derby it was when he was subbed we scored our goal as well. Rochina looked a bad injury haven't seen it on TV though did it look bad ? Apparently hes dislocated his shoulder
His 'music' group are currently touring America. Might be tricky.
Bet someone goes in 2-footed if he plays.
A mate of mine, Terry Hawkridge, made his league debut at the weekend for Scunthorpe.
He's jumped from being at Carlton Town in the NCEL to Scunny, 4 divisions higher via Gainsborough, in 2 years.
His 3rd MOM in a row.
Can definitely see him moving higher up the leagues in the future. One to look out for.
Signed Jordan Sinnott from Huddersfield on a 6-month youth loan.
This is what Kevin Blackwell had to say about this.
'One of the players had a word with me last week because I'd forgotten his name, and I said 'listen son, I don't know anyone's name, never mind yours'
We've somehow managed to re-sign Danny Whitaker. Best player in the Conference by an absolute mile, could easily still play in the Football League.
Not looking forward to tomorrow. The season was oh so hopeful a few short weeks ago, but we (Bristol Rovers) are continuing to fight a ridiculous injury list after seeing no less than 6 players fall to an ACL injury last year and one to a broken ankle. Our first-team squad are down 9 players to various ailments already, including a broken leg and another fucking ACL.
We've also been served notice of a potential judicial review into the proposed re-development and sale of our stadium. If it falls through, that will mark our 6th failure at a modern new ground since we left Eastville Stadium in the 80's.
...Bah!
Have the council been involved in the re-development and sale of the ground? If not, it can't be judicially reviewed.
The council were involved in the passing of the Sainsbury's development plans. The plans were Pickles'd a couple of months ago
The judicial review would be into the process and the legality of the council's decision.
Great point. Weakened by the loss of Hogg to illness at lunchtime, I was dreading playing QPR, but we got a deserved point. We had to dig in and battle, but we still managed to play football and carry a threat against a very good team. Gobern was excellent. And we went within inches of nicking it at the end through Scannell. Very pleased with Town today.
0-0 would probably have been fair. Neither team really created many clear-cut chances. Their goal came out of nothing, it's not like we were hanging on or anything.
Who's bringing the review?
Not quite sure, rumours suggest a local resident with the backing of the Gloucester Road traders, fronting for the Green Party.
