Great win at home to Wigan today we struggled in the first half and they were the better side and Ramis missed a penalty for them! Second half we were much better Marshall scored 2 worldies! Carson should have saved Rhodes header. And Varney could have got a couple for us! Overall I think a draw would have been fair but I am delighted with a win. Not happy that we have conceded our 4th penalty of the season though and again this one was very dubious.

We did well yesterday. Agree about their penalty, he didn't half throw himself to the floor, we still need to be careful in the box though 'cos 4 penalties already is too much. Apart from the penalty though, they were better first half and we couldn't have complained if they were 1-0 up at the break.

Second half though was a completely different story! Getting the equaliser so soon after they took the lead was key. Decent strike from Marshall although not as good as his second one which was excellent! Another goal for Rhodes too who I thought also played really well in his general play. Yesterday was my first home game since Burnley due to uni at the end of last season and holidays at the start of this season, and it was noticeable that Rhodes looked better and stronger.

Gestede probably wasn't 100% fit but was actually growing into the game when he got subbed, and even Varney did well and looked lively! So fair play to him. And bring on Wednesday v Derby.

Yeah having seen it again he just throws himself into Baptistes leg. As you say we have conceded far too many penalties.

We were excellent second half Marshall had a great game and his second was superb. As you say recently Rhodes has held up the ball alot better recently works alot harder.

I thought Varney did well he works very hard and was unlucky not to score.

Yeovil lost....again

There I was thinking they'd be among the favourites. Though in saying that I'm surprised Bristol City are doing so well after selling Sam Baldock, and that Leyton Orient's manager is already one game from the sack.

I had a feeling we'd struggle this season, but not this bad! As it stands we could easily be playing league 2 football next season! Its a pain being a yeovil fan seeing City do so well, especially after they signed Luke AYling from us

Join us! Join us! We need someone to replace Exeter as a "derby" game since they're going down to join Torquay and Brizzle Rovers this year.

Bristol City struggled part of last season as well, didn't they? Yeovil will survive.

I'd be shocked if we get relegated but watching us the first couple of games this season I felt sick with the lack of passion shown on the pitch!

At this stage I think it's still a bit early to say someone is struggling. The transfer window has shut only two weeks ago and many teams are getting loans in to do a bit of tweaking and trying to fill in sme gaps. Up until December, we were struggling aswell as we were just above the drop and until the 42nd/43rd game we still had a chance to get into the play-offs, so I wouldn't read to much into tables and statistics just yet

I don't look at the table for at least 8 games. Used to be 10, but I have all the discipline of a gnat.

Great win for Leeds tonight, 1-0 down to 3-1 up away at Bournemouth.

Good wins for my local teams as well, Ipswich 2-0 vs Brighton and Norwich 3-0 vs Brentford.

Point, clean sheet, not conceded a goal from open play with Hudson at the back and Powell in charge. Point about right, Wigan never really threatened and neither did we. Rosler will no doubt complain about a handball that wasn't given (bounced up onto his arm - seen them given, but it's one of those which might be given 3 times out of 10), but in truth Town were good value for a point and had the best chance to nick it.

2-1 win against Stevenage. Not something to tell your parents about but three points in the bag. Ryan Lowe scored an absolute stunner of a free kick to level. Also upto second with Burton, the leaders, on saturday. Not reading to much into the table right now, but we are definitely heading in the right direction. UTS

Sky saying Solskjaer is going to leave Cardiff tonight.

I don't know/care if Mackay would have kept them up, but he's hardly been a brilliant replacement.

Not surprised, went down without a fight last season and then have started this season poorly - one point from their last four games.

Really hope they don't get Pulis, cos then one of the promotion spots has gone already.

We're at home to Derby tonight, hopefully we can carry on from Saturday against Wigan.

Disappointing to lose to Derby last night. We deserved to get beat but we put up a fight in the last 15 minutes. Marshall put us ahead in the first minute with a deflected shot. But they were ahead by half time. Hughes, Bryson and Dawkins were all excellent for them. The 3rd goal should never have happened as it was a clear free kick on Conway but the defending was crap too as no one went out to close the ball down. Gestede made it 3-2 off a Marshall long throw that shouldn't have counted either anyway as Marshall's feet were on the pitch when he threw it. We could have got a point as Gestede had a header deflected onto the bar and Cairney a shot tipped over. But overall I think the better team won. Also Venkys turned up to the game last night which was a surprise and if I remember rightly we haven't won a game whenever Venkys have come to watch (granted that is not very often) they also left about 5 minutes before the end.

Yep, the better team did indeed win. As much as I wanted us to get an equaliser (was it Gestede with the header off the corner? or Duffy?) it would have been completely undeserved as they outplayed us to be honest. Especially in the first half anyway.

They played some nice football but I can't help but feel that we let them - Cairney and Evans didn't really do much in the middle to prevent them playing. I really like Cairney but Evans is worrying me a bit at the moment - he just doesn't do much apart from keep possession well with short passes. You wouldn't have known he was there last night but when Tunnicliffe came on, he was excellent, got in their faces etc and played some good passes forward. Shame he can't play this weekend.

Yep their 3rd goal was a push on Conway, although even though the ref didn't give a foul, we didn't have to go and let them score! So still poor defending. Well, it's been poor all season. 14 conceded in 7 now and if that carries on we'll just stay where we are now and where we were all last season - mid table. Bowyer needs to sort the defence out, Duffy has to play on Saturday but I think the problems run deeper than the personnel in defence to be honest.

Venky's were there? Didn't even know. Bastards. I think we won against Villa when they very first took over, Pedersen scored two, don't know if you remember!

Yeah it was Gestede with the header which was turned onto the bar.

With regards to Evans I agree I thought he was poor yesterday and he hasen't offered an awful lot for a while. Tunnicliffe certainly looked alot better and as you say it is a real shame that he can't play this weekend as he looked so much better than Evans in the time he was on yesterday he should he straight in against Watford.

I agree definite foul. But no one pressed the ball everyone just stood and watched Ward curl it in the corner. Yeah we won't go up conceding that many goals we are great going forward it's just the defence that needs work and also someone should sit in front of the defence as we have alot of attacking players but no one seems to want to sit in front.I thought Evans would do that job but he seems to like to get forward too. Duffy should play.

Ha ha yeah as I sit next to the dug outs they were right behind me. They were pretty excited when the goal went in, but they didn't even watch the end. ah yes I do remember that game, must have forgot they were there! Thinking about it they were there when we beat Arsenal 4-3 that time as well on Yakubus debut. Still they haven't seen us win the championship.

I can't make the Fulham game this weekend, But I am going to Rotherham away on the Tuesday night after the Watford game! Are you going to either game?
