April 2017 - OGC Nice



A draw against them would have been fair, we didn't deserve to lose. They scored a free kick from 24 yard out.

Lyon was far better than us and poor finishing cost us and few players didn't turn up.

We bounced back from back to back defeat with a 2-0 win over AC Ajaccio. Lieng put us ahead with a strike from 20 yards out. Eysseric doubled out lead on 42nd minutes. Second half was borefest and we could have score a couple of goals.

Big game of the month for us against FC Lorient, who are 5th place. We was all over them in first half and couldn't find our way past them. We took control on 73rd minutes with Eysseric, their player gave away the ball cheaply and Eysseric passed it to Bosetti which he crossed it in and Eysseric headed it in to give us the lead. Cvitanich did have a goal disallowed just before grabbing his goal on 81st minutes.



We're now a point behind FC Lorient, but I'm more happy if I finished 6th and hopefully get the Europa League spot.

Monaco won Coupe de la Ligue, not sure if that will leave the last Europa League spot to 7th?

I decided to apply for Ajax job after they finished 5th in the league, 8 points behind PSV and have not won the league since 2014/15 season.

Would be interesting challenge at Ajax, they got just taken over by consortium.

May 2017 - OGC Nice



Massively gutted to lose to PSG. We went from 2-0 down to 2-2 until Aliev didn't mark Verrati on 90+2 minutes to let him score the winner

Cracking win on our last home game of the season.

We practically gave them 2 goals on silly mistakes. But meh.



Gutted to see us not in Europa next season But neverless, we have made great progress since I have took over, from 17th to 6th.

I decided it was time to leave OGC Nice and move to Ajax and rebuild them back to former glory again. 8.5M to spend, I will look around and invest in areas that needs improving. Will look at our Youth and blood them in this season. The chairman want us to win the league this season.

Decent players in the team, might offload couple players in the summer. Thinking about playing 4-2-3-1 or narrow formation at home and 4-5-1 away.

Pre season 2017 - Ajax


Went on tour to China to boost our merchandise.


There was few weeks left before our match against Teplice in Europa League Third Qualifying round. I decided to take the team on tour to Qatar. We made 940K from playing there.

We battered every one of them and hit them on counter and the team was brilliant.

Transfers

Alan - We needed some decent defender and he fits the bill

Choe Hak-Sun- Pre signed him and he looks very promising and hopefully he will boost our shirts sale in Japan.

Jeffri Roura - Back up to our right backs.

Joan Franch - Finally got him, I was chasing him when I was at Athletic Club, promising player.

Osvaldo Torres - His performance in World Cup u's20 caught my eye so I brought him in. Will play him few games this season.

Özgür Tarim - Will join us in January 2018. Very promising keeper as I felt we need a decent keeper and my scout found him. Costing me 3.3M

We now got 60M to spend and the board wouldn't let me adjust it to the wages as we're over 400K under the budget. Might look at bringing few youngsters in for the future.

As we don't have any striker at the club ( few youngsters in academy) I decided to go for this and it seems to work really well.

We have also joined up with Bresica and Colorado for our feeders club.

He's back \o/ 400K = bargain.

August 2017 - Ajax



Fantastic start to my Ajax career. Hectic month for us as we had to play 8 games!

We started the month with away to Teplice and De Jong put us ahead in first half, at half time I decided to switch 4-6-0 to 4-2-3-1 narrow formation and 2nd half was history. Could have been more than 4.

We started our league with away to RKC. fatigue probably did come into it as we only had few days to rest. Lukoi put them ahead after Serero mistake. De Jong level the score on 30th minutes. At half time, I again switched to 4-2-3-1 narrow. Subbed Serero off for Verhappen. We went ahead 3-1 with a goals from our 2 youngsters. We conceded again after another mistake from Veltman which he should have cleared it but ended up making mistake.

Some reason we couldn't reproduce our performance from first leg against Teplice for our 2nd leg match. I decided to play 4-2-3-1 narrow this time. Verhappen put us ahead on 4th minutes with a header from Serero's cross. We conceded on 33rd minute after lack of communication between our keeper and Taraves which both failed to clear the ball away and they took advantage to score. Sneijder got his first goal for us, we was awarded a free kick and Gnabry took the free kick outside the box, keeper parried it into Sneijder's path to put us ahead on stroke of half time. Was disappointed with our 2nd half performance as we was really wasteful in front of the goal.

We welcome Zwolle at home, and we battered them thanks to goal from Gnabry and brace from Verhappen.

We faced a tough FC Groningen away. Alan's header from the corner gave us the lead under 1 minute on the clock. They level the score 3 minutes later from corner. Gnabry score which was the winning goal on 52nd minutes, we went on counter after we picked up their pass and Van der Horst passed it to Van Oeveren who chipped it over the defence and Gnabry ran through to strike it into the net to give us the win. Sneijder was subbed off on 77th minutes, after the month, it was confirmed he's out for 3 weeks with torn hamstring

We was drawn against KV Mechlen from Belgium, We was the better side and had 20 shots and and 12 on target. Montero put us ahead on 25th minutes with a header from Tete's cross. They went down to 10 man on 30th minutes and disappointed that we didn't take advantage of that. Verhappen finished the game off on 54th minutes.

We face FC Twente at home, I decided to go back to 4-6-0 formation and played Verhappen as AMC. as they went for 4-5-1 ( DM DM MR ML AMC FC) So I decided to use 4-6-0 to give us advantage in the middle of the pitch. Van der Meulen's goal put us ahead on 14th minutes with a well work passing between our midfielders, Verhappen slipped him through and Meulen blasted it home. We gave away a penalty after Gnabry's mistake, which they converted to level the score. Alan scored from the corner to give us the lead, 2-1. Verhappen set up Gnabry for our 3rd goal which he flicked on Furuichi's cross into Gnabry direction and slammed it home to put us in commanding lead. Furuichi scored our 4th goal after half time after he ran onto Torres's pass and blazed it home to finish the game off.

We travelled to Belgium for our 2nd leg. It was a poor match from both sides, Furuichi's only strike which put us through to the group stages. Gave Molenaar his first start for us and he repaid me by getting doubled booked on 61st and 70th minutes

I decided to terminate Franch's loan as I found Kôsuke Furuichi sitting in our Jong Ajax so I promoted him to first team.

September 2017 - Ajax



Goal feast month

We went behind thanks to controversial penalty was award to them on 6th minutes. Took us ages to get one back until a strike from Serero on 42nd minutes to level the score for us. At half time, I tinker with the team instruction and went for high tempo and demolished them in 2nd half.

I'm in 2 mind with this result against AZ, Happy we got a point but it's a game where we should have been out of sight at half time but players was missing chances. We was the better side and most chances. We went behind on 60th minutes which they scored a free kick. Verhappen pulled it back for us 60 seconds later with a strike inside the box. We should have won it in the end but Verhappen hit the post.

Absolutely battered Hajduk. Was nice to see De Jong scoring after coming back from few weeks out injured.

We completed ran over ADO Den Haag, should have been more than 4.

I decided to rest the first team players and only kept Tete, Alan and Van der Meulen and rest was youngsters. Was pleased to see the youngsters performed well in the match.

October 2017 - Ajax




Another impressive month for us, as we continue to score for fun.

Feyenoord was our visitor at Amsterdam Arena. We raced to 2-0 thanks to Gnabry's brace. It got worse for us as Tete, stupidly enough decided to get himself doubled booked on 33rd and 37th minutes, so I had to take off one of my midfielder and replace him with a left back and dragged Blind to DM spot which left a huge gap between him and 3 AMCs. Furuichi put the game to bed in 2nd half.

We created plenty of chances against Young Boys and failed to put them away. Decided to rest Verhappen and played Perk, up front. which he bagged his first goal for the club in first half. Was disappointed with our defending as we conceded 2 own goals from Tete and Van der Mulen Was impressed with performance by Van Oeveren.

We continue to thrashing team apart and this time is against NEC. We ent 3-0 up inside 20 minutes which was the game over by then. They pulled one back on 64th minute. Gnabry added fourth goal in added time of 90th minutes.

We completely battered NAC Breda, even we went behind after a dodgy penalty call from the referee. Pleased to see we took control after they went 1-0 up against us.

What a ending in our match against Steaua, We went 2-1 up and conceded on 90+1 as a mistake from Alan, which they converted to level the score, Alan became our hero by grabbing the winner goal from corner on 90+3 minutes to give us the win.

Disappointed to see it took us 90th minutes to score against JVC. I again rested the entire first team players bar Alan. We was all over them and couldn't find our way past them until Montero 's shot found it way through the net.


The gap is now at 7 points.

November 2017 - Ajax



We scored all of our goals in first half. Happy to see Wesley scoring again. Second half we found it hard to break them down.

First defeat since I took over, disappointed as we had good chances but they took their which won them the game.

Again, we scored both goals in first half and couldn't find the net in second half.

We took control of the game and deserved to win easily. We went behind on 32nd minutes as Alan failed to head their cross away which they scored. Gnabry pegged them back immediately with a strike inside the box. Delighted to see Verhappen bagged his hat trick for the club.

A draw is definitely fair result but getting pissed off with Tete, got himself doubled book on 34th minutes which put us in huge pressure. So I had to drag MC to DL and brought in a left back and Blind to DM to protect the back 4 which leaving a big gap in midfield. We went behind on 47th minutes as they scored from corner. Gnabry bagged his second goal in 2 games with a header from corner to level the score on 57th minutes. And we qualified for The first knockout round.

I fined Tete a week wages and he complained to me and I said he should accept it and move on, wouldn't back down. So I decided to put him on the transfer list. Prick.

I have decided to bring in Souleymane Sow as I felt we need more firepower. 7.5M, 750K after 50 appearance, 750K after 10 goals.

I decided to cash in on my youngster above, I felt there other players in the academy are fairly better than him. Monaco do seems to have the knack of offering stupid money for players. Got 30M for him.

December 2017 - Ajax



It was game of two halves. We raced to 4 goals lead at half time. Some reason it was different Ajax came out of 2nd half and we practically gave their striker 3 goals via 2 mistakes from Alan ffs. Not happy with our defending.

We completely outplayed Vitesse and should have been more than 4. They scored twice in last 10 minutes of the match.

Last match of our group was home to Young Boys. We couldn't break them down as they was on defensive mentality. Veltman broke the deadlock with a header from corner and Perk's shot from inside the box finished the game off.

We was drawn against our feeder club, Almere City, I decided to play our best XI out. Pleased with Sneijder performance.

Biggest match of the month as we travel to Philips Stadion to face PSV who are sitting 3rd in the league. Furuichi gave us the lead on 11th minute with a strike inside the box after PSV failed to deal with Duarte's shot which was parried into Furuichi path and slammed it home, We went 2-0 up on 17th minutes thanks to Gnabry long range shot. PSV couldn't break us down until Carlos Fierro pulled one back on 86th minutes on counter attack. We closed the game out in the end.
