I would stick with Anderlecht

So I decided to take the job with Monaco. There was quite a few factors for that decision. The squad is slightly on the old side and they need to bring some new blood through the squad. There is money to spend to improve the squad. They are in a new stadium, which I will reveal later. My time at Anderlecht had stagnated, yes I was making progression but I don't think I could progress the nation despite my work there.
Nice gesture but a silly move for the time being. Neither are stats wise that great and the setup here is good.

How can it be a surprise? I have won two Champions League trophies and a Europa League trophy whilst in Europe. What a joke.
So a club with fantastic facilities but a trophy cabinet lacking major European silverware. They won the Europa League in 2023 some years back now. My job is to earn some European silverware.
Been pretty consistent with form. Which is an excellent bonus for us.

Neubert has been attracting some interest from some of the major clubs in Europe. Looking for at least £60 million for him. He is by far our best player, so won't be leaving on the cheap.
Should be our main threat upfront but something tells me that this guy isn't going to be scoring that many goals.
The Ukrainian midfield maestro, will mainly be playing in the hole and commanding from there.
Cymro
Anderlecht spent big on my replacement. Don't think he is worth that but there we are.
Cymro
Was not going to feature and best to sell him now whilst there was some interest. Got a good deal for him, so I'm happy.
This guy in my eyes looks good stats wise but doesn't perform. His record was shocking for Monaco and when United came in with an offer like that I would have been foolish not to accept.
His stats.
I made an audacious bid for this guy who was on the transfer list. United were looking for some biggish money. Sadly one of my old clubs came back to haunt me and snapped him up from under us ... Academica and Martinez.

Chairman straight away agreed with upgrading the facilities. I like this man a lot.

On the day I signed for the club, I was thrust straight into action in the Supercup. Managed to beat a strong PSG side and got to assess the squad whilst I was at it. I will need to sign players to sort out some areas. Not all is bad mind.

Joao Moutinho stadium?!

Eric Portapotty
Oh well, he is bloody rich.
Cymro
Eric Portapotty - Quite weird I found also. I thought he would have moved on too.
Been a great start to life in Monaco. Really good football being played but there are still issues with players not fitting into the desired formation / overrated players on high and ridiculous wages. There was some impressive results in the run of fixtures here. Stade Reims and Sochaux were the main ones.
Nice lead at the top but in this league anyone can beat anyone.

Off to play Munich in the QF, going to be a tough final.
Cymro
Decent youth take coming in. N'Diaye and Lambert are by far the standout of the intake, but most will be looked and thoroughly scouted to ensure we don't miss out on any good youngsters from the crop.
Youngster with bags of potential. Looking forward to see how he develops.
Same as the above really. Has pace and an eye for goal. Job is to develop him into a world class player.

Right these updates have taken longer to come out because I have been busy with night shifts and other things, hopefully over the coming days this will improve. With this I am going to rush through this end part of the season update.
So onto the cups, we progressed to domestic cup finals ... here is how they panned out.
Pretty straight forward win this. We bossed the game from the outset and should have scored more to be honest. Leo was outstanding as well as Dobosh who was the midfield maestro.
This final was different. It was a game that bounced backwards and forwards and we didn't look great if I was to be honest. We managed to score a latish equaliser and we went to penalties. We kept our calm and slotted all of our penalties before PSG last man choked and we won Coupe de France.
So in Europe we did progress to the final, now in previous years Monaco had appeared twice and lost twice ... would it be third time lucky?
Yes it was. We beat PSG comfortably. This game was played in between the two cup games and it served as a good moral boost headed of the Coupe de France. Leo was on fire and to be honest I was disappointed we didn't score at least a few more. Great achievement in my first season at the club. With this I hope now to kick on and make Monaco a real force in Europe and the world. Found out that Academica had recently been named the best club in the world under the rankings so it was time for Monaco and myself to knock them off their perch.

How the results panned out for the second half of the season. Lot of positives for sure. We demolished of Le Havre and Stade Reims was most pleasing. Our only defeat came to Bayern in the Champions League in the second half of the season. We played exceptionally well in my first season. Next season we face the second season syndrome and must ensure we don't become complacent.
Won the league at a canter. Really impressive display from the players.
Next update will include my entire transfer for the season and also how the squad rated, before more interesting news.

KEZ_7 - Cheers man.
How the squad for the season panned out.
Mohamed, Fabila and Candau will all be looking to have much bigger roles within the club next season. They are the next bunch of youngsters to come through the academy that need to be intergrated into the side.
Leo was our outstanding goal threat this season and he was amazing once he settled into our style of play. Argentinian international Castrilli was also fantastic but did suffer from the odd injury so I might well look to cash in on the 31 year old. Orozco, Castrilli, Smith and Paauwe are likely to be shipped on next season.
Cymro
This is how the transfers played out for the season. In January got rid of Sotto for a good price and then sold Welsh international winger Andrew ap Dafydd after he failed to settle in Monaco. There's quite a few new deals confirmed for next season and I hope to sell the players listed above. The aim is to get a French theme running through the side as well as a few top quality international players from across the globe.
Cymro
Over the course of the season lot of fans have been flocking to the new stadium to see us play. Excellent news. Better than playing in the Stade Louis II I suppose.
With that success the Chairman has agreed to expand the stadium without my request. Fantastic result for the club.
With the success he has also decided to upgrade the facilities. Fantastic.
Cymro
So we are making our steady climb up the World's most reputable club list, the old club are top. Anderlecht are just out of site at the bottom of this. So it is very good for all clubs I have been involved with. Next job is to move Monaco up the list.
Cymro
Transfer budget will be coming in quite handy for re-building of the squad.
