Its his lack of movement and awful first touch that really grate on me.

For someone who likes to get involved in attacks we do a lot better when he doesn't come back and inevitable fucks the move up but then he stands around sucking Van Persies dick or whatever it is those two actually do when they're off the ball. Its why Welbeck made us look better when he played, because he did something other than stand still and wait for the ball.

Hopefully its something Falcao will come in and fix, because Mata looks 10x the player already with Di Maria offering some pace, and intelligent movement in front of him is only going to help.

Mata, Di Maria and Blind should start every week. Superb displays from all 3 today.

Van Persie is such a cunt as well.

I think he and Herrera are going to be massive for us. They both ran midfield today extremely well and Blind just went about his business very quietly shielding the defence and letting Herrera push further forward. Might have only been QPR but it was a good performance and should build some confidence for next weekend away to Leicester.

Daley Blind reminds me of a younger, slightly quicker Dutch version of Gareth Barry. Understated, versatile and efficient.

Yeah that's probably the best comparison, looks like he'll be a steal for £14 million.

Nobody is getting carried away, I think most have said it was a poor QPR side. Although if that United side play like that they'll cause any side issues, whether it's QPR, Chelsea or Southampton.

QPR are probably the worst team in the League, any team with a decent attack will cause United problems.

QPR were absolutely and completely terrible yesterday.

"Let's sit back and defend, then as soon as we get the ball lump it up to no one so they can attack again. Cos fuck trying to trouble a defence that has been pretty bad so far this season, let's just let their unbelievable attacking force come at us for 90 mins with no pressure at all cos we haven't seen Utd's previous games where they failed to win"

That's not the impression I've picked up over the last few pages. Seems like a lot of gushing about how good United were and how "they're back". The win has certainly been met with far more excitement than what it probably should be, but I guess that comes with not having won a game prior.

The media are being predictably hyperbolic but I don't think anyone else is getting carried away. Calling it an improveny is just calling a spade a spade.

I don't think we should be getting carried away, it's a big relief that we've finally won a game and some of our players have returned from injury.

The media threw around hyperbole when we failed to win our first three matches too.

Not had internet for nearly a week so I haven't been able to follow this possible takeover story much. But I did hear someone say that it could be for £1bn. I know the new stadium will be worth quite a lot of money but I still don't see how it would all add up to £1bn.

Well they were good yesterday, especially Di Maria, Mata, Blind and Herrera. You can only play the team you're up against and they did a good job against QPR. Obviously there is a lot tougher tests to come, will we win the Premier League this season, I'm fairly certain we won't, not unless City, Chelsea and Arsenal all decide to just not play anymore, but the top four doesn't seem out of reach with the new signings we've bought.

Chelsea should win this league quite comfortably if Diego Costa stays fit, which I don't think he will throughout the season. Also, Terry was poor again for them which seems their only weak link at the moment.

Amazing that Harry and Pardew are still in jobs. Monk and Paul Lambert are doing superb jobs aswell albeit only 4 games gone.

Anyone else feel Luke Shaw should be a bit worried? If we continue to play 4-4-2 diamond, which we will do, Rojo will be the left back I would think. Evans and Jones will be the centre backs. Therefore Shaw could find himself seeing very little football this season.

For what its worth I would play Shaw as I feel he is a much better player than Rojo but not sure Van Gaal rates Shaw much.

What makes you think he doesn't rate Shaw? He just spent £27m on him, and hasn't had a chance to pick him yet. Wasn't fit enough to start yesterday otherwise he would have I think. Anyway he's only young, not the end of the world if he's not a regular immediately.

It was a poor goal to give away, it wasn't a good idea to throw the ball infield although I do think the player (forgot who it was) should have made sure he met the ball before Diame. Instead of waiting for the ball to get to him.

LVG didn't buy Shaw. His comments about him in pre season weren't great. He said he was unfit for the type of game he wanted Shaw to play. He made him train alone & he also wanted Evra to stay.

He played 45 mins for the u21s last night so looks like hes just building up fitness. Hope he features on Sunday because I think hes got great potential.

You honestly think he didn't want or buy Shaw?

Something the player agreed with as well.

Shaw deal was all completed it just needed LVG to approve it. No way LVG identified Shaw as a signing he just simply confirmed an already done deal.

It was obviously a 'club signing' in a sense. But its very obvious LVG signed off in it, which he wouldn't have done if he thought he wasn't worth £27m. Given that he pulled the plug on the Kroos deal which was also a 'club transfer' he wasn't afraid to change things around. And I think the 'not fit stuff' was just him being misquoted.

Heres what he said on it recently: “About Shaw I want to say something,” said Van Gaal. “I have read nasty articles about him, also in the US I have said to him: ‘You came in here not fit’, and I changed the programme for him. He did everything he has to do to be fit, and now he is an example in the dressing room and is training fantastically. So when you want to write something you can ask me if he is doing his work or not.”

Sounds much more like Luke Shaw not being fit enough when he came back from pre-season than any of the stuff like 'he's fat, he doesn't work hard enough' etc...

I find it hard to see Shaw not being fit enough when he was clearly fit enough to play at the WC, while he didn't have enough time off over the pre-season to really have such a drastic effect on his fitness. I suspect there might be a little more to it behind the scenes.
