I watched the first 10 minutes of our game last night before my stream crapped out and I went back to sleep.

We looked very sharp playing a 3-5-2, no Moyes esque-zombie passing and hoofball, very promising.

UK broadcaster Quest TV have acquired the rights to the forthcoming Schalke Tournament in Germany featuring Newcastle United and will broadcast all four games:

1-0 win over Wellington Phoenix means Newcastle have won that New Zealand pre-season thing we were in.

I was asleep so missed it but from what I gather, BT Sport cut the last the 10 minutes of the game and the post-match trophy presentation. Given they show shit all else apart from football, seems like a stupid arrangement.

Considering Sydney sounded dire against Newcastle, the fact they beat West Ham and (according to reports) could've won by more than 3-1 is probably going to concern Big Fat Sam.

There's already some thinking relegation could be a claret + blue triple of WH, Villa and Burnley.

Subs: McGee, Fredericks, Naughton, Davies, Kaboul, Lennon, Eriksen, Ceballos, Falque, Soldado.

I really hope Ceballos can progress this season, he looks a real talent. Lets hope Dawson remembers to actually do some defending this time.

Typical that the focus on Torres was his miss and nothing else. He forced a good save for Zouma to score the rebound, while also provided some excellent skill and link play with Costa.
