That was an impossibly bad miss.

So we've just witnessed Messi miss a penalty and an open goal in the space of 1 second.

That pen miss summed up the two things Ronaldo is better at than Messi, penalty taking and heading.

A fine example of almost all our flaws tonight. Awful from Pellegrini in particular.

Think we've a decent shout in the 2nd leg with Yaya back and Bony more integrated into the team. All depends on if Kolarov decides to play or not

For all the talk of you not giving them respect and all that, you absolutely bottled it/shat yourself in the first half. Awful, awful first half. Once you actually started to play in the second and got some belief you could have turned that around. The second half you came out much better, despite not changing much tactically. Obviously pressing Barcelona high will absolutely kill you before the finish, but also cant sit back and let them play their game

Barcelona had stopped and that's why City looked better in the second half. Tie is over now for me and can't see them scoring at least twice in Spain.

Quite possibly. It's certainly something they should be considering anyway, he's had an absolutely horrific season in basically every respect. The big question, and it's one that can't really be answered, is just how convinced Txiki/Soriano are by him. They seem fairly patient and determined about following a set style (and the Sheikh and Khaldoon definitely are) but to me, Pellegrini doesn't seem to following that style all that closely. He plays a lot of lip-service to the idea of playing positive, attacking football but I'm not convinced how much we've lived up to it. His team is the only one in the entire City set-up that doesn't play a Barça-style 4-3-3, the kids do it, the women's team too and I believe NYCFC do too. He seems absolutely set on trying to succeed with his 4-4-2. It's bizarre both as a personal preference and in relation to the club's wider plan.

All that said, if Pep decides not to stay at Bayern then Pellegrini will be out on his ear.

Can't see Arsenal running into any problems.

Think they've been fairly good defensively though recently but we've gone with quite an attacking line up.

1 goal conceded in their group stage. 19 in the league. So yeah, they're good defensively, at the expense of their attack.

Me neither, can see it being one of those comfortable 2-0 or 3-0 wins that Arsenal get in the CL at home against teams like Galatasaray and Olympiakos.
