Yeah it'd be like getting into the Champions League by winning the Community Shield.

Are Chelsea playing 3 at the back or will Luiz be playing in midfield?

Torres claiming that OG.

Might as well try and claim the third as well.

In the past, I'd have been confident of a comeback, given recent history of doing so. However, I don't think it's gonna be happening this time around. Crucial to keep a clean sheet, if that can't be done then it's all over.

Ross Turnbull. Why?

The fattest most useless keeper I've seen in ages.

He's always been shit, I don't understand why he's our number 2.

Me either. It defies logic.

He's utterly shit. He must be tight with Roman, I can't think of any other reason he's still there.

Went from having Cech and Cudicini (when he was still class), to having Cech, Turnbull and Hilario.

Just part of the overall decline in quality of the squad since Mourinho, I guess.

Even Hilario's better than Turnbull. Hell, Paulo Ferreira's better than Turnbull.

RAFA OUT.

Azpilicueta for Ivanovic, a goal behind in the 80th minute. Ba still on the bench.

Seriously, can anyone defend that?

Nope.

The funny thing is he's come out and asked for a permanent deal.

First time I've seen this. Should just leave, not even be sacked. He is embarrassing himself.

I want Moyes, but only if Roman can stop being a dick.

I know, which is why Moyes (one of the better managers) shouldn't and probably won't come to us. He needs time to build a team, and he does it well. Roman won't give him the time.

God knows what will happen at the end of the season?!?!

Nothing surprises me anymore at Chelsea...

Benitez says no more transfers this window.

Well that's just peachy.

Azpi is a better crosser than Ivanovic. Maybe Rafa thought the service to Torres etc would be better with that change.

Why am I defending Benitez.

Doesn't Roman decide upon the transfer policy? It's not Benitez's fault that you aren't getting more players this window.

Michael Emenalo controls a lot of the transfer side of stuff. He's largely responsible for the likes of Oscar, Hazard, etc joining.

Chelsea's biggest issue is lack of squad depth. Most of the players look absolutely dead on their feet and run down, particularly in midfield. The only time players have really managed a proper rest has been if they're out with injury, otherwise they're called upon. You only need to look at the players that are out on loan and how useful some would have been this season;

Malouda (exiled).
Essien
De Bruyne
Lukaku
Bruma
Hutchinson
McEachran

While those might not play week in, week out, they'd surely make a difference over the cause of a season. Particularly when Lampard missed a lot of the first half of the season, Romeu getting injured, Sturridge being injured/sold, Terry injured, Moses/Mikel ACoN etc.

Simply isn't good enough to complete over the course of the entire season and the games that come with it. Who's to blame for this? Well I'd say it's the boards, along with possibly RDM and Roman. Benitez has at least had the balls to say more players are needed. Which isn't going to be addressed in January it seems.

Benitez always says more players are needed. It's one of his catchphrases.
