Chelsea and Bayern Munich both in the CL final and not one player from either team being in the XI is pretty shocking to be honest.

Any World 11 without Thiago Silva is a joke, an official FIFA one?! No words, just no words.

The fact he plays in France now probably has a big influence. Not saying that that makes it right or wrong, but likely.

It's the players that vote isn't it?

To be honest I can't think of any Chelsea who deserved to be in the team if it's based on the performances throughout the season. I don't see enough of Bayern Munich to pass judgement on their players.

Espanyol were like a pub team last night, just to show the chasm in quality, never mind Barcelona never needing to get out of second gear. As for the World Team of the Year, bit pathetic;

GK- Manuel Neuer
DR- Philip Lahm
DL- Jordi Alba
DC- Sergio Ramos
DC- Vincent Kompany
MC- Xavi
MC- Andrea Pirlo
MC- Andreas Iniesta
FW- Cristiano Ronaldo
FW- Robin Van Persie
FW- Lionel Messi

I'd like to have seen a team more like that. Van Persie for Arsenal last season was better than Falcao, Cavani et al, and that was playing in a tougher league and scoring majestic goals for fun. I don't follow German football too closely, but I imagine maybe players like Hummels or Schweinsteiger might have deserved a look in perhaps? Also, Zlatan and Thiago Silva? How well did they do last season?

Everyone seems to have Lahm in their team. Wraith said he was not at his best earlier in the year. Hummels should also be nowhere near the team after the beating Balotelli gave him.

Anyway year of the CF, Messi, Ronaldo, Falcao, Cavani, Van Persie, Ibrahimovic and now even Suarez posting monster tally's. And Drogba.

A.Cole, Cech and Mata about the only three real contenders.

I don't think any deserve to be in the team of the year though - I think only Kompany from England does. You could argue Van Persie but I think Falcao, Messi and Ronaldo have all been better.

If RVP fires Man Utd to the title and keeps up his ridiculous goalscoring he may make an appearance this year though.

Don't think so. Messi and Ronaldo didn't have themselves.

Ah, that's a shame. Was looking forward to seeing Zlatan vote for himself. Thrice!

Hardly biased, of course they'll vote for their team mates, any Portugal player will want Ronaldo to win so why would they vote for Messi.

For the record, Messi rightly won it, he's the best player I've ever seen.

I'm really unsure about whether you understand the word bias.
