Chelsea and Bayern Munich both in the CL final and not one player from either team being in the XI is pretty shocking to be honest.

Espanyol were like a pub team last night, just to show the chasm in quality, never mind Barcelona never needing to get out of second gear. As for the World Team of the Year, bit pathetic;

I'd like to have seen a team more like that. Van Persie for Arsenal last season was better than Falcao, Cavani et al, and that was playing in a tougher league and scoring majestic goals for fun. I don't follow German football too closely, but I imagine maybe players like Hummels or Schweinsteiger might have deserved a look in perhaps? Also, Zlatan and Thiago Silva? How well did they do last season?

To be honest I can't think of any Chelsea who deserved to be in the team if it's based on the performances throughout the season. I don't see enough of Bayern Munich to pass judgement on their players.

Hardly biased, of course they'll vote for their team mates, any Portugal player will want Ronaldo to win so why would they vote for Messi.

For the record, Messi rightly won it, he's the best player I've ever seen.
