Are City fans genuinely concerned about a large wage bill? And if so, why?

Something like 500k knocked off so about 175 added on, not bad

Obviously you'd want it spent shrewdly but that's never going to happen with the way City are ran.

You'd be surprised. Unlike PSG and Monaco, we're really taking FFP seriously - and if we weren't, the plan was never to continue spending £150m+ every summer, we were always going to reduce the spending.
Anyway, Soriano and Begiristain have been very keen on reducing the wage bill and restructuring how we pay our players, primarily focusing on moving from high basic wages (100k+) to more conservative basic wages (70-90k) plus bonuses. I think Yaya even took a pay cut in his last contract.

Anyway, we're in for Salvio apparently, any use?

He's alright. The £25.8m fee touted by the Indy seems way over the top though (unless it's including a whole host of add-ons).

An absolute legend of English football.

His story about how he got in to English football in the first place is as great as that of him playing with a broken neck.
RIP

On that note his biography (by Catrine Clay) is well worth a read. Eventful would be putting it lightly.
