Saw somebody on bluemoon suggest that the 'personal financial matter' was a tax issue in Spain. It's probably not true but it sounds plausible at least.

A bit of a risk now for City with Aguero and Jovetic suffering injuries regularly last season. Expect them to have a striker lined up for the summer maybe even January if needs be.

He was out for 3 months anyway and missed basically half of last season. We;re not exactly in a vastly different situation from last time (except Jovetic actually seems to have grown legs to replace the glass he used to own)

No chance of us signing a striker in January. Maybe a midfielder not a striker.

Don't see it.

I there's more chance of a new midfielder and a change in formation. We could easily switch to a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 (which all of our youth sides use and Soriano and Begiristain are fans of).

Nah it's basically a "thanks for not suing" compromise.

i just don't understand if Man City have broke the rules by buying their success like they pretty much have done, and UEFA announced plans to try and combat that - they'd bend them to allow Man City to buy more success.

It makes no sense.

What's even more laughable is that their only club trained player is fucking Boyata.

Cos UEFA knew that if City went to court, FFP would be shot down completely basically. So they're rewarding/thanking City for not doing that I guess

It would only be shot down because they're too scared to punish everyone equally.

There's literally no point in it, people can blatantly see Man City have broken the rules.

My understanding was that FIFPro (the players union) were threatening to stick their noses in. Presumably over the effect it would have on their members who aren't at fault for any of this.

Fingers crossed. In its current state FFP is a disgrace.

Get rid of the thing in my opinion. I loved when Chelsea were bought by Abramovich and loved when City started spunking millions and finally challenged/surpassed United on the pitch.
