There's no point having players playing for the sake of playing if you don't have them. Those 3 (with the possible exception of Jack Cork although he's not a world beater and unlikely to improve much) just aren't good enough.

The only workable midfield England have got is something like Carrick at the base, Henderson going box to box and someone else alongside them but I doubt you're ever going to get that because you've somehow got to fit Rooney, Kane and Sturridge in up top.

Always? Find another occasion then please. I also said it's a pisstake that Welbeck is playing when replying to Poe...

Though I don't mind being wrong as Welbeck has been very good so far.

He's been our liveliest player, been no worse than anyone else.

Absolutely stacked in the mid 90's.

Cole, Fowler, Collymore, Sir Les and Le Tissier barely had England careers - A bit weird we went with Owen so early in hindsight.


Hard to get excited, when you look at the midfield though. Henderson is about the only one I would think seems like an England starting player.
