Thought I'd make this thread to alert any Galaxy S3 owners (think there's a few on here) that there is a very very easy way for any website to perform a factory reset on your phone, so be wary about SMS's with URL's etc.

Also can be triggered by scanning QR or NFC codes with the URL embedded. Especially be wary of 'WAP Push SMS'.

Video explaining here:

I sold my Note this week. Using my old HTC Desire untill the Nokia Lumia 920 comes out next month. It's sexy.

Loved that phone. Still have it but it just doesn't work, might look for one on ebay.

I'm going to print off some QR stickers with that code on and place them in different places

Unless they're using stock Android (or Cyanogen Mod) and/or a 3rd party browser (Dolphin, Chrome, Firefox) then it doesn't happen with the web browser I believe

Anybody got any experience with either of the Nexus tablets? Thinking recently of getting a tablet for reading and easier browsing etc and thought that these looked more affordable, but I don't know anybody who has one. The 7 looks nice and easy but the the 10 I'd probably use for more things like watching TV and junk.

I've got a Nexus 7, I barely use it now though. Nice device though, especially after it's price drop.

I'm looking at the Nexus 7 as well, read loads of reviews etc and it seems the Kindle Fire HD is on par with it. Other than the benefit of not being an amazon sell fest what's going to be the benefit of getting a Nexus over the Kindle?

Would appreciate any help

You'd be better of getting a Nexus 7 over a Kindle Fire. I'll get ya some reasons later but the main one is that it's Google, so you get all updates straight away

Was set on getting an iPad mini but after reading this thread and then reading a few reviews online, edging towards the Nexus 7 despite me being a massive apple fanboy. Heard good things and also it's so much cheaper.

One quick question, can you transfer downloaded books/films/tv shows etc from you're computer to the device or is it all linked to you're google play account meaning you can only get the content you buy from their store?

You can easily transfer from your computer, just connect a USB cable

My mate's just got one as his upgrade, when he told me over Facebook what it was I thought he was sending a kiss at the end.
