Box vs Steam

Dear fellow forum users I'm starting this topic in the hope that someone can help me please. My son has requested FM 13 for Christmas but Im not sure if to buy him the boxed version or the on - line version via Steam and I was hoping that you could tell me the difference please

Personally ive gone for the Steam option since the game was first available that way, so around 2008 time i think? You need Steam which ever way you do it so thats why i purchase that way. Think the main reason is because i know i can play on release day no matter what.

Its just down to personal preference as some people like to collect the boxes etc, but for me download is much simpler.

I'd recommend the boxed version for two reasons. It'll be quicker to install from the disc - rather than downloading it from Steam - and it'll give him something to open on Christmas Day.
