The main analog stick is still in a stupid position.

They only put it there originally as they tacked it onto the first PS controller and it was the only place it would fit, I thought they'd have moved it by now.

I don't see how it is, I actually find it more of an effort to use the d-pad on the ps controller.

I can use either controller very comfortably.

The PS Controller is way too small, the XBOX controller fits in your hands with perfection, and you don't even have to move your thumbs

It definitely is.

Everyone moans about it on PS3 but moving it really wouldn't work given the shape of the controller.

All the social features sound pretty cool, but if I was to buy the PS4 the first thing I'd do is figure out how to turn them off.

Yeah, I don't get why companies are so keen to push stuff like that. I really don't know anyone that has the slightest inclination to use it.

Forgot about this, stream isn't reliable anyway. Any of you guys got a site other than Twitter which has constant updates?

So Sony finally get it right by revealing the PS4 before the Xbox, then don't bother showing the console. Fucked that right up.

What does it matter what it looks like? pretty much all consoles have been/are horrible to look at

Yeah I'd much rather have 2 hours of games and new features rather than seeing what it looks like.

Well, from a marketing point of view, one photo of console with PS4 on it plastered all over the internet would be pretty good, rather than a picture of some guy with PS4 written in the background. It makes it seem more like a real thing which is coming out soon rather than a concept.
Looks promising. Will go for the PS4 next time around I reckon.

I dont think they've had any problem when it comes to marketing, talk of the PS4 is everywhere. They probably dont even have a final design down for the box itself either.

Actually, I reckon Sony definitely do have a problem with marketing. Talk about the product is fine (but the question is, have they announced too early will Xbox steal their 'buzz' can they keep momentum etc...) but it doesn't necessarily correlate with excitement. Ever since the PS3 where Sony had issues with bizarrely using the Spiderman font I think they've really struggled to shake the image that they are a cold, clinical company.

They've really struggled to sell the PS brand in the last few years.

You say that but for all we know Xbox could be panicing like mad now, they might not even have a console thats ready to release this Christmas and Sony have forced their hand. Also there is still plenty to come from Sony i imagine and now they've had this announcement they can have a whole E3 press Conference to talk games rather than having to split it with the console announcement

I doubt Sony have surprised Microsoft, they might not be ready to release but everyone knows both companies have been developing new consoles for ages.

Well yeah but if MS were planning on launching next spring and Sony have said the PS4 will be out this xmas then thats alot of time for MS to make up, either way people would have analysed what Sony have done weather they announced before MS or after people will come out and say it was too soon or too late.

I reckon you're hugely underestimating how much they know about each other. I think MS would have been aware from early on what Sony's release schedule is and Sony will know Microsoft's too. I mean, since ages ago the rumours were that Microsoft was going to announce at E3, Sony's conference now is obviously to get a jump on them and if that's stuff that you and I can know the industry insiders will have a far better picture.

PS4 can't play PS3 games.

First negative I've heard, and it's a pretty annoying one tbh.
