i have 1 editor data save with old version FM 20 (with 2000+ database changes) and i feel like it will taking too long to remake the data
my questions is:
1. is it ok if i use my old editor save with newest patch?
2. if no 1 is not ok, is it okay if i merge new editor data save with the old one? also how?

my plan is make a new editor data save with 1 database changes then merge it with old one

thank you

It really depends what changes you have in the file. If it's just database edits, then you should be just fine. If you've added/created/edited a league system, then you may need a little bit of further editing to have it compatible with the latest version of FM, but it shouldn't be anything massive.

By way of proof, I'm using a number of editor data files since FM15 I think, just editing and tweaking them as necessary

P.S. When you load the editor, you will get a prompt telling you the above essentially, so don't be alarmed

Hello,

You can use an older editor data file in a newer version of FM, but there may be some inconsistencies and/or mistakes which you'll need to check.

I'm assuming that's what you mean by " merging old database with a new database", but if it's not, please elaborate.
