Heard rumours we're on lock down from Thursday night.

I've heard the same from a copper and a friend whose boyfriend is in the army. Also, a friend in London saw a lot of army movement around the capital today. Meant to start in London and cover the rest of the country throughout Friday and the weekend.

We shall see.

Our PM about to address the nation at noon, feel there is going to be school closures, my Mrs is an education adviser and this week they have been working on increasing WIFI coverage and seeing how our area can cope with students being taught at home

pub lockdowns and cafes etc I can see coming too

borders were closed a few days ago now so cant be that

having reports of locals getting angry with tourists 'freedom campers' who are blatantly flouting the 14 day isolation instruction,

one case a helicopter pilot has flown 2 tourists straight to the police as they were on his trip and arrived last weekend so obviously should be in lockdown...impact on him is he has to go into isolation now too and his business could go under because of fools like this:seagull:

they will be deported asap hopefully couple of people have been already this week

Jacinda is simply brilliant in fairness no dramas no false promises, 180° about turns after saying one thing then totally going the other way the next day

she has laid out clearly, simply and eloquently where we are at and what measures would be taken if the situation gets worse,
also brought in alert levels where which will be regionalised so we can check our status and take the appropriate action needed so there should be no confusion

she once again has shown to be a great leader and is proactive rather than reactive I simply am in awe of this young woman
we are blessed to have her

Singapore had its 1st deaths today, our health system did its best but with our cases continuing to rise it was inevitable.

This isn't lockdown yet as we can still move around.

As per your earlier point there is one member who deserves sadness from this; Aaron Meadows.

Wasn't it you who did the 'investigation' and found him out, Deano?

Back to the Coronavirus, how amazing was the applause for the NHS tonight? Superb.

Sadly this is going to keep rising if people continue to ignore the Lockdown rules!

I work in the Emergency Services, and the amount of people I see out and about as if it is a normal day is shocking. Not to mention people continuing to cough and spit on us and claim to have the disease.

been there done that you have my respect and sympathy too at times like this even going to work is hard enough, putting yourself in danger and then the idiots

we had a middle aged man here yesterday his behavior was abhorrent, thought it would be a lark to film himself coughing and spitting on supermarket staff/shoppers he has been arrested and will be in court AM tomorrow he has been named and shamed locally and has been told there is no job for him when this is all over...hope he gets sent down too, sure he isnt laughing now
