Just to be clear this is to cover players/staff only and WHO ARE ALREADY IN THE DB.
Our update does not add anyone who is missing from the DB to do this you need to ADD them via the Pre game editor or use the official IGE to edit an existing person to suite your needs.
Or use a file/mod which covers missing players/staff/wonderkids etc NB be careful doing this as sometimes you can get conflicts/issues/clashes with our file/s as there are things that are duplicated etc.
or do it yourself in the editor.
Also if you find missing players/staff who should be in the DB(not new 14 year old kids a club has just signed)you need to update SI on their forums that cover data issues for various leagues/nations.
When you find a missing transfer/loan etc submit the change to the update team so it can be added in due course along with a credible link to confirm your submission.
Rumours of a pending transfer is not a source and it causes a delay in the Mods being able to approve genuine submissions as they have to go through all of them, sometimes these run into the 1000s waiting approval).

When you submit a change if it has already been done then dont waste your time in duplicating it, and if it is awaiting moderation then once again there is no point in duplicating a submission unless the original submission is not correct.
eg Christian Pito- click on the edit option you will see it is awaiting approval
a quick look at the comments and change history will tell you what has been approved/not approved previously.
NB make sure that in the search filter you are selecting the correct person type there is a drop down menu so you can change from player/staff

Numerous people have submitted this change, and also submissions for other staff changes, although most of them seem to have been inputted by site staff members as first team coach's.
You are the only staff member who I have seen who has been able to change a staff member to their correct job role. All attempts by other staff members have seen them set as first team coach rather than their actual job role.
The below are those which I am aware of, although I am sure that there are others too
Sammy Lee to WBA Assistant Manager
Sam Allardyce to WBA Manager
Lee Johnson to Sunderland Manager
Steve Cotterill to Shrewsbury Manager
Glyn Chamberlain to Blackburn as a scout

I haven't done anything that the staff dealing with it couldn't do
So if a correct change hasn't been approved users need to ask the staff member who didn't approve it

@barcaseb has stated "I don't know why this happens. I have tried to approve these changes, and I hope it will fix the problem with the wrong job roles".... but the changes he submitted... as well as the changes that others have submitted, have been inputted as first team coach.
I am not trying to single out Barceseb... or any other staff member, but several of them have tried to make these changes and they have not been able to do so.
I have recently seen that you have completed a staff change (Xisco to Watford), so you are obviously doing something differently (and correctly) than the other staff members
Can you advise them or speak to @Footygamer about this?

I think there is a bug in the data update file, as many staff members have wrong roles. I don’t know why, because here on this website, it says they have the right roles, but when I open the FM Editor or FM, and see the changes, I can see many staff members with wrong roles, e.g. Allardyce, Terzic, Cotterill.
I’m not in charge of the data update, but I think it need to be fixed, as it is very annoying. It is like the game is choosing random roles to some staff members. I don’t know if it is the game itself or the data update 😊

yes mate I just checked and was about to post the same thing I am tagging @Footygamer so he is aware
as you say the changes are showing correctly here on site
but the checks I made on staff showing updated here correctly( eg sam allardyce/sammy lee) are showing as coaches in the official FM Editor/game rather than a manager/ass man as they are here, so something is wrong

IIRC there were no issue before the game was patched to the most recent update perhaps that's where the issue is?

I noticed an error in your update file. When I create a game (and I also checked it by opening the file by the editor) it appears that Brazil's coach is Eduardo Barroca and Tite would be an assistant. But in truth, Barroca is only coach of Botafogo.

The same situation in Wisla Krakow! Hyballa is a first team manager no trainer. The same in Ross Country John Hughes is new manager no Trainer the same problem in Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor Mesut Bakkal is a new manager no trainer is too many wrong updates! the person who approved this changes he need to be release because he dont know what he do.

I suggest you READ this thread again and you will see staff are aware there seems to be a bug , drop the petulant attitude

Yes but they put manager fist team need to be change manager first team only in this file and is ok.

so for the last time what dont you understand? they are setting the change as manager/etc correctly(I have tried it too, check out my posts above, and on site the changes are correct ) but changes to a coach in game, therefore there is a bug somewhere the site admin has been made aware, so no more of the attitude towards the data update staff or you will receive a warning in fact there was no need to post at all if you had read the thread you would see staff are aware of the issue

just checked and now big sam is set as being the chairman with the latest live update, maybe because your change wont kick in until tomorrow? but he was showing as coach before -

It seems like some of the options we have such as "Manager (First Team Only)" aren't legitimate even though they've come from the XML.
I need to find a way of finding only the IDs that are legitimate.
Is anyone aware of how to get the list of IDs from King Robbos screenshot?
