Finished 3rd In EPL But Not In Champions League

Hi Guys, 

Any ideas why I've finished 3rd in the EPL but have not qualified for the Champions League (first season in)?

Man Utd and Chelsea have been eliminated from the Champions League.

Man City won the FA Cup and Man Utd won the Carabao Cup.

Hoping this is not a bug!

Just saw this, I wonder why 3rd and 4th spots in the EPL are Europa League spots only?

Can you show what the club coefficients look like for you?

@Fei.Long, what editor data files do you have in place?

A lot unfortunately! Although not all of them were used.

Although I can't tell which file caused it, the fact that this issue is only being experienced by you would seem to indicate that one of them will be causing it. Is it the same for all the other European nations perchance?

Looks like LaLiga is affected as well!

So I've started a new game with the same exact setup as the problematic save game and the same thing occurs.

I wonder if I found with editor data is causing it and remove that league in the save game whether or not it will fix the issue or not?

@Fei.Long, it's all well and good to have a lot of editor data files, but it's difficult to know exactly what each of them does when you have so many, even though it may appear straight-forward at an initial glance. Looks like one of them may have made some changes to European qualification criteria, I suspect. What does the Asian-European Cup 2022 file do, for example?

After all, you don't really need to have files making Tuvala, Kiribati and Malawi as playable leagues, do you? Not unless you're planning on managing there.

Bingo! I've removed that editor data file and it's removed the bug! Good advice for next time!

I wonder if my save game can be saved by removing that competition? 

Adding, editing or removing editor data files does not have any effect on existing save games, unfortunately 😢
