Players Disappear

Hello, players are disappearing in the game... I have started the second season and in pre-selection players like Tino Livramento, Riccardo Calafiori, Samuele Ricci have disappeared, I have looked for them in the search engine and they are not there either... What can happen? I don't understand...

What does “pre-selection” mean? Are you sure you're spelling their names right in the search box? If you check the squad of the team who owns them, can you not find them?

Players don't just disappear. They may retire if they don't find a club or if they suffer an injury, but I don't think any of these 3 are out of contract in the second season, and it's unlikely all 3 suffered a long-term injury and retired, so it'll be something you're doing wrong if you can't find them.

I promise you that they are not is super strange. I'm going to put a screenshot putting the names in the search engine so you can see it...

What can happen?

Can you check the squad list of the team who owns them in the first season? Perhaps you can check their transfers page to see if they were released or retired.

What database size are you playing? Where they there in the first season? Maybe with a small database size they weren't even loaded at the start?

Did you remove any leagues between the first and second seasons? As part of this process, players get removed too, and it might be the case that they were among the players removed.

Well, in the first part of the season I removed 5 countries leaving only the Spanish first division, and now in the second season when I look for them I can't find those players.

If I select those countries again, do the players appear?

Could that be the reason?

If you were playing with a small database, that might well be the reason. A small database will mean that only a small amount of players will be loaded, mostly those of a very high ability and/or reputation, and those not in a league/country which is loaded will not be displayed.

If they were there previously, they most probably will, but the leagues will only be added for the 2023/24 season, so they won't appear until the start of the next season.
